Does the oil come out in a thin stream or does it spray in a wide fine pattern?

Depends on how you squeeze the trigger. If it's a partial squeeze, it comes out in more of a stream. If it's a full, quick squeeze, it's more of a wide, fine, fan pattern.

So no one else had a issue with this sprayer? mine did not work right out of the box. returned it to amazon. for 25 dollars not cheap

I use a regular pint size spray bottle, BUT!! You have to add water to the oil to make it spray right. Say, 1/2 cup olive oil with 1/4 cup water. Also, be sure you SHAKE it right before you use it to mix the two. Works for ME!! See my Youtube video: "BEFORE you BUY an oil sprayer, WATCH THIS!!" 720p

where is this product made?

According to the information included with the bottles, the bottle, funnel and labels bands are made in the USA while the trigger sprayer is made in China.

Can it be used for vinegar?

I don't see why it shouldn't. Oil is thicker than vinegar, and if it handles oil it should have no problem with vinagar.
