The Spiritual Power of Empathy: Develop Your Intuitive Gifts for Compassionate Connection

This book helped me to find out who I really am...
Every since I was three years old I knew I was different, but I couldn't put my hand on it until my son was explaining to me about his daughter. What he was saying was hitting home, he said that his daughter had a lot of empathy. I had to pause for a moment, and I said to myself. That is me, I started researching the word and came across this book. After reading the introduction on Amazon I knew I had to have this book. From front to cover it was describing me and my psychic gifts. Especially, when it stated on page 35 "One of the reasons empaths can sense what is occurring in people, places, or beings in other time zones, locations, and spaces is that their energetic fields extend way beyond their physical body." I am so psyhic to the point I can't shake someones hand with feeling strong information coming from that person. Example: I was in a furniture store and I purchase a dinette set. The saleman had a tight grip on my hand as he was shaking it and thanking me, I almost blank out. I was immediately transported into the pass, maybe generations ago into this guy family ( he seem to be from South America) and I seen his family at war with another tribe and blood spilling. I immediately pull my hand from this guy because I felt myself blacking out. I began to sweat and I could here him still thanking me and smiling. I quickly smile and walked out of the store. I can't touch demonic books, in a book store I had pick one up curious about the title and seem like I was being over come by the book and had to leave the store. Also, I had a black poodle that died years ago and she would come to me in a dream and let me know when a family member was about to die. I had to pray that she move on with her life in the other world and stop informing me when someone was about to die. She finally left me alone after many prayers. I can go on and on about all of my experiences, maybe I will write a book about it myself one day. I am so glad that Cyndi Dale was able to write a book like this and awaken me to what has been going on in my life. I told my son about the book, but I think he want my granddaughter to get a little older before she read it, because she just turn 14 this month.

The Spiritual Power of Empathy is a much-needed breath of fresh air and I could not put this book down!!!
I feel so lucky to have had the chance to read Cyndi Dale’s exceptional book on empathy as it relates to our many intuitive gifts. The wisdom that Cyndi has chosen to share with us based on her vast experience and extensive research in the field of energy medicine/healing among many other unique talents is a valuable tool that we all must have on our bookshelves to refer to for a lifetime.I was enlightened to discover and learn about the levels of empathy as well as the various styles, and after reading this, it also helped me to understand the difference between sympathy, empathy, and compassion, in addition to many interesting facets of awareness and knowledge about this subject and how they relate to our everyday life (too many to list here but they will continue to be utilized long after reading this book). As Cyndi’s written (and other) work consistently delivers, upon absorbing these precious lessons I feel such appreciation for her decision to share her gifts with us once again. The Spiritual Power of Empathy has come to us at a time when our world could certainly use this special modality of empathic abilities to improve upon so many aspects of how we are “wired to connect” with one another and the Universe.Whether you are in need of healing in any way (aren’t we all) or are a healer yourself (thank you!); whether you feel that your empathic gifts need some exercise or you seek a greater awareness about how empathy works, this book is for you. The background and techniques that Cyndi provides will allow for continued health and well-being and the ability to share those resources with others-it is sure to exceed any expectations that you might have based on the information that you have previously read or heard about empathy. Enjoy, dear readers-and much gratitude to Cyndi Dale for sharing yet another gem with those of us who find true joy in the desire to help others, as we continue to feel so blessed to learn from the best…

Learn to wield your superpowers so they don't wield you
If you find yourself absorbing other people's negative energy and aren't sure how to shut it off, this book teaches how. Or if you constantly receive and are inundated with intuitive information and aren't sure where it's coming from or what to do with it, how to manage it, etc. I highly recommend this book. The first half teaches every detail about being an empath, the different types and categories. It's both wonderfully eye opening and insightful as well as validating. The first half was a page-turner for me and I could hardly put it down! The second half teaches application and techniques very in depth. I started applying one technique and right away I was able to stop absorbing other people's energy. I also learned why I was doing this at a subconscious level and how to create a boundary, find out what I was to do with the information, and turn it over to God/Spirit.I also ordered The Highly Sensitive Person, which the author recommends in this book. The HSP gave the more scientific and researched perspective on this same topic, and was equally insightful and validating. For the empath/HSP, I highly recommend both books.

Spot on info for those who like to understand and talk with people!
Even if you don't think you are an empath, you just may find new ways to interact with those who you have deemed "too sensitive". This book was recommended to me by someone who is just now discovering her empathic gifts. I bought it so we could work together using a common language, so to speak. I was delighted to find so much new information to me, even though I've been studying and working as an intuitive coach/healer for almost 9 years! Thank you for a fantastic resource book.

Easy to read and yet very informative.
Another great book by Cyndi Dale. I've really been working on my empathic abilities and she came highly recommended by another empath. This book goes deep into each different empathic style and describes them thoroughly, so you can determine where your empathic abilities are.

Helpful
This is a good book on empathy and appreciating its spiritual power. The sections on mental illnesses were far less convincing, however. The author is not a medical doctor and these discussions weren’t the most helpful or insightful so if you have a mental illness I would take this part of the book with a large pinch of salt. I read and enjoyed a book on bipolar called: Bipolar; getting well and creating meaning by Sophie Rose Peters. That author is also not a doctor but a sufferer and yet offers good insights. Otherwise this book on empathy is a good starting point in exploring this amazing human gift and potential.

Great book
If this book finds its way into your hands it will change your life. You will find it a real eye opener and I have had plenty of "Aha" moments while reading it. Cyndi Dale's simple system is of great value to help you handle your responses and get you back on track.

Intersting book on empathy in all its myriad forms. ...
Interesting book on empathy in all its myriad forms. I felt it lost its verve towrds the end. I also found some of the exercises suggested impossibly confusing. I've no doubt that Cyndi Dale is very effective one to one with clients, but this failed to translate in the writing explaining some of the processes.
