Cheap solution
I recently took delivery of a you view box. I was originally told that everything I would need to connect it up came in the box. Yes, except that the ethernet cable was barely a metre long. As my aerial connection and my internet (phone) connection are at opposite sides of the room it was impossible to connect up. One solution was to purchase 'power adapters' at £30plus. I decided to try this ethernet cable first, worth a try for 10% of the cost. So glad I did. No problems at all, hooked up the you view box and have not experienced any problems with speed or connection, even on catch-up/on demand viewing. Good quality cable and connectors. The cable was easy to route round the room under the carpet and round corners etc. Really flexible. Arrived really quickly too.

Does as it should
We have a4 console gamers in the house all trying to game on WiFi. I purchased a switch and ran this caballero from the living room, up the stairs and round the back bedroom, good sturdy cable, durable and good value for money.

Great, great value and no problems
Moving from a powerline adaptor to a wireless network card, my internet wasnt the best, fairly slow but just usable. i was getting round about 25-36 mb/s download before. After an hour installing the cable through the roof, i tested my internet again and nearly tripled my speed to 85mb/s- remarkable.older cat 5 cabled have 1gb/s internet one way guaranteed and with cat5e, you have 2 way 1gb/s guarantee meaning you will be transferring files through your house faster than a lot of hard drives or ssd's can read. When wiring, make sure to cover and protect the ends.Overall, i never spent much but i found the performance and quality to be perfect and i had no disputes to solve as it was new and runs at full capacity.

Very good Ethernet cable.
This is almost a top of the range Ethernet cable, it obviously lacks as it is only a CAT5e cable but if you fave internet speeds slower than 50mbps then you really wont notice the difference. It is very well made and it is quite strong, as mine has been trapped in doors and twisted and it still works perfectly. 50m will be long enough for practically anything and for the price well, why wouldn't you get a bit more cable even if it sits behind your router or wherever in a bundle, at least you will always have enough cable if you need to run this cable to any part of your house. The great thing about Ethernet cables and especially ones that are this long, if a part of it breaks or snaps in half you can easily fix without spending too much money, or you can create this cable into multiple cables, the limits are endless with Ethernet cables. If you have a electronic device or computer that has a Ethernet cable port then you need to have is wired with a Ethernet cable to your router as you will experience such faster speeds as there is nothing that can reduce the speed of your internet through wires whereas if it connected wireless walls and objects can block and scramble your internet connection giving you a much slower speeds.I defiantly would recommend.

Good value for fixed, indoor use
As other reviewers have commented, this is a lightweight cable. I would not use it outdoors or for portable applications where it is constantly rolled and unrolled. It is fine for putting in place once and leaving. Care should be taken not to kink it when unrolling it. It does not come on a drum, but should be unROLLed as if it were (put your arm through the coil), not just dropped off the side as it will then twist and kink.I do not have the means to test the maximum bandwith, but it works well between a computer and router on 35Mbps Vodafone fibre broadband. I use it for HD video streaming and am very pleased with it. I now get the full 35Mbps broadband speed (measured with an online app) all the time, which was not the always the case over WiFi.The answers to the questions on clip size are incorrect, even from the supplier! The cable diameter is 4.6 mm (I measured with a digital micrometer at various points). The best clips to use are therefore 4mm. These will give a gentle grip and therefore the neatest mounting as the cable can be slightly tensioned, keeping it straight. 5mm clips look OK but do not grip the cable. 6mm are much too big. Put the clip on the cable before banging the nail in to ensure you do not pinch the insulation. You need a clip every 20-30 cm, a few more at corners. A pack of 100 was plenty for 20m.

It works!
Arrived in good time. Needed this for PS4 updates as the console is in the attic and the router is in the lounge. Wifi speeds to the PS4 were coming out at several kbps (yes, kbps!) so updates were literally taking days. Connected this through the lounge, up two flights of stairs and to the other end of the attic where the PS4 is. 50 Gig file updated in around 30 minutes as opposed to 4-5 days over wifi!! Result! Can't use this as a permanent fixture, obviously as it's trailing down the stairs! But as a hard wire connection it has proved invaluable. Had doubts about a 30m cable being able to transfer data over such a distance, but it works fine.

Standard CAT5e all good
There's nothing I can really be critical about being a standard unshielded twisted pair CAT5e Ethernet cable. I bought this to connect some network attached storage and other machines on one Gigabit switch to another downstairs for sharing media to multiple devices. Being CAT5e it supports speeds up to a Gigabit and that seems to be enough throughput for my needs. The cable is flexible and and the sheath is enough to protect the odd bump or nip. Like other cables I wouldn't run it under anything that gets squashed a lot or you'll end up with issues. The connectors are the standard plastic moulded ones nothing out of the ordinary it would be nice to have a rubber protector over the small plastic arm to stop possible breakage but it's not a biggie and by the pictures you can easily see what your getting anyway. For the price it's good value.
