This shouldn't work but it really does.
If you like dexterity games and you like dungeon crawls then this is the game for you.

Good game but poor quality pieces
I am not entirely sure but I think I may have received a fake copy. The stickers weren’t centred and didn’t stick brilliantly, some of the discs were stuck together, the box was broken on arrival and doesn’t seem like the quality I’d expect for the price, even the plastic bags seem cheap. The game however is as expected, I have seen reviews and have wanted it for a while, the instructions are a bit complicated at first, they could have been made much simpler but once you’ve played once it’s pretty simple to teach.

Lots and lots of stickers
Dunno if it would be possible in future release to have the tokens pre stickered / laser painted on. Just got the game and if you apply the sticker on the wrong tile it could easily get Damaged while attempting to remove and re-stick to the correct tile And affect gliding. Apart from that concept is great

Catacombs creates stories
This game is a unique combination of disc-flicking dexterity and dungeon-crawling. One player controls all the monsters, the other players control the heroes, through a series of levels leading up to a final boss fight. You'll find classic RPG archetypes such as wizard, thief, elf, and barbarian, and monsters from giant arachnids to zombies. Every character is represented by a disc on a rectangular board dotted with a few "bumper" obstacles. For most of the game you'll carefully flick discs at each other to move, strike, push, and shoot. It's astonishing how well the metaphor works, and how many clever ways the designers found to represent the theme. For example, when you hit a monster with an ice missile, you put a "frozen" disc on top of the monster, which can't attack until the "frozen" disc is knocked off. Flicking is so much more satisfying than rolling dice. You'll still groan with frustration when you inexplicably miss the monster right next to you, but you'll also holler triumphantly when your elf's arrow ricochets to kill three enemies in a one-in-a-million shot. With just a few thematic trappings, this game turns every flick into a story of heroism, hubris, and glory. There are a few flaws which mean Catacombs is not for everyone. The first thing you'll notice when you open the box is a discouraging number of stickers which must be individually applied to the wooden discs. Hopefully you didn't have anything better to do for the next two hours. The game also isn't terribly easy to learn without a teacher. Although mostly simple and intuitive, the rules have enough little exceptions that you'll probably have to consult the rulebook many times during your first several plays. Finally, the game only works if everyone is a good sport and isn't solely focused on winning. Sometimes when a piece ricochets it won't be obvious what happened, so you have to trust one player to make a fair call. And from what I've seen, it's easy for the dungeon master to crush the heroes if she really wants to. The DM needs to help out less experienced heroes a little by taking risks and not ganging up on any one hero too much.

Childlike excitement about this game
Recently I discovered this game, and immediately knew I wanted it. As of this writing I have not played it as I play the vast majority of my games solo, so this review isn't based on actual gameplay (lol). It shipped well, and the quality of the box/pieces is great. I was unsure as of ordering it what version/edition the production would be, but my box came with the tall obstacle pillars as opposed to disks placed into holes on the board.I spent a good hour putting the stickers into place on all the disks just having a grand time, this is the kind of game that got me into board gaming, I'm so excited to play it once I learn the rules well enough to rope at least one friend in!
