Avalon Organics Bath & Shower Gel, Nourishing Lavender, 32 Oz

I absolutely adore the Avalon Organics Lavender Bath & Shower Gel and have been using it consistently for years now—it’s a true favorite! The main reason I’m so loyal is the scent: the natural lavender aroma is incredibly soothing and genuine, unlike harsh synthetic fragrances found in many other products. It transforms my daily shower into a relaxing spa-like experience every single time. The formula is fantastic, too. It lathers up beautifully, even though it’s sulfate-free and made with organic botanicals. It cleanses my skin effectively without stripping it of moisture, leaving it feeling soft, refreshed, and subtly scented long after I dry off. Knowing that it’s vegan and cruelty-free just makes me love it even more. For a gentle, effective, and beautifully scented shower gel, you really can’t beat this classic from Avalon Organics.

I love this body wash! This is my 2nd time ordering. It has only clean ingredients, which is such a big deal for me! It smells AMAZING! I was hoping they’d have a eucalyptus/lavender scent, but you can easily add your own. However, it’s more watery than typical washes, so if you’re adding it to a wall dispenser in the shower, it can be a little messier. I think the manufacturer should find a more efficient way to ship, because it leaked in the package on its way to me. I could return it, but I waited a month for this to be delivered & need my refill. If it weren’t for the leaking, I’d give the product 5 🌟

toxin free, big bottle that lasts a while, smells great and lathers nicely. pump works, although clogging does happen.

I have very dry skin/sensitive (atopic, because Ive using chemical chemo) and sometimes use brands like eucerin,la roche,etc for my skin but they are expensive for the quantity they offer. This is not that cheap but just compare other brands, like Im not that rich for buying expensive skin care, even more for the whole body. The scent is soft lavender not that strong, kind of a little vanilla there. Leaves my skin soft and clean, doesnt feel like sticky or super dry, is about enough cleanse, so If you aply your lotion, your skin is gooing to feel light weight. It didnt burn or feel weird about the scent on my skin, be careful because it might work on my sensitive skin but have in mind this kind of natural products have sensitizers for some people, overall and so far my experience is good and I would buy again. They have update they liquid shipment so It was complete inside the bottle.

This body wash is okay. I’m not sure I’ll order it again. Here’s the pros and cons: Pros: You get a lot of body wash for a good price. Cons: This isn’t organic body wash. For some reason, companies can put Organics in their name without being certified organic. This body wash has an overwhelmingly strong scent. At first to me, it smelled like Pinesol. But then I went outside and smelled my lavender plant, and realized this body wash smells just like lavender….just real strong. Im not sure if the scent is synthetic. This body wash doesn’t lather well. It seems to initially lather decently enough, then once you start moving the wash cloth around on your body, the lather disappears.

In the past, there has been leakage when it was sent by mail. I received some leakage( the cap at the bottom of the pump was loose) Why not just cap the bottle and attach the pump separately in the box when sent? In a store, the pump can be attached to the bottle but sending by mail, separate. No leakage but the customer still has the pump to attach. This is what Philosophy does when it ships their product. I had a time in getting the pump to pop up to pump. I turned it the way the arrow pointed and it still did not pop up. I unscrewed the pump from the bottle, held it tight and then turned in the direction pointed at the top and it popped up. There are sometimes issues with pump tops( Philosophy too). The shower gel is a gel like consistency not creamy. Love the lavender smell, this smells more like the plant(lavender with an herbal undertone) Love it. Now the smell does not last all day but well enough after a shower. Lathers up rich to me. I also purchased the body lotion and will review it also. 32 oz is a nice size and should last sometime as this is not the only body wash in the shower.

I use several of the Avalon Organics products and have for a number of years now. It's very important to me that I avoid the harmful skin care ingredients that can be cancer causing and endocrine interrupters and the Avalon line ensures this. Skin care products can be outrageously expensive and I have to admit that I supplement my Avalon products with other products however, the Avalon products are a part of my daily routine. When I use a product over time I look for consistency in effectiveness, quality and packaging. The shower gel, day creme and body lotion all have a pleasing smell (I use the lavender gel/lotion), texture is consistent and good and the products are effective. Pump action of the dispensers very good and consistent.

Wonderful. Foams up delightfully. No nasty soap chemicals. Full of good and expensive and enriching ingredients. Lovely and completely natural scent. Never leaves my hands itchy or dry - which may soaps do. And - best of all - SUPER MOISTURIZING. I use this instead of shaving foam to shave my legs etc. And it does a great job, plus leaves my legs nicely moisturized after it is rinsed off. Been using it for years and imagine I will continue to do so for a very long time.

Very nice, natural fragrance, which you can enjoy during your shower or bath but does not linger. That's helpful for those of us who work in fragrance free environments. Gentle on my highly sensitive skin.
