Captures the essence of the show very well, and builds upon it
I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to get the next one. This review will be spoiler free. This book takes place immediately after book three, so if you haven't already, go watch the Avatar the last Airbender on Netflix. This book does a good job on making you feel like you're still watching the show, the characters still act how you'd expect and the things that happen in this story actually make sense. It doesn't feel like a forced issue that was created JUST so the writers had something to work with. The art is amazing and there are a few pages of concept art in the book of the book in case you were wondering. The book is 9 inches long, 6 wide and is a little under half an inch thick. (For reference those chess board sqaures are 2.5 inches) This is just like the library edition but it's way smaller, the exact size of the original there parts. You won't miss much if you don't get the library edition, the omnibus edition still has all three parts of the promise. The only thing you won't get are the annotation from the library edition, in my opinion they're not much of a selling point for me anyway. This book earned 5 stars from me, the story was realistic given the circumstances after book 3 and it made sense.(Boring shipping details) I pre-ordered this book a week before it was set to release and I received it a month after it released. So if you plan on getting the other two omnibus editions of The Search and The Rift then I'd pre-order them as soon as you can.

Love the avatar
I read this in all of their voices lol and got emotional at the end when zuko and aang are taking because it made me think of our own world. The story was great and the bonds between the characters were not forgotten, and infact they improved. Without any spoilers, I love the depth of the relationships in this story and am very glad they have stayed intact. The only reason I'm not giving 5 is because of how masterfully the design on show was done, compared to the design in this comic, where some of the characters don't really look like themselves. Like katara, most of the time doesn't really look like the katara that I remember. which is a little disappointing. The art of this show is one of its greatest aspects, so I just don't understand how it didn't fully translate to the comic. But thats all. Even the the art wasn't 100% what it was on the show, it was still a great continuation of the story and we'll worth the read.

A great continuation to the animated show
I don’t know why it took me this long to get into the comics, but I’m glad I finally did, because it’s truly enjoyable. The artwork is fantastic, the story is solid, you can truly feel the emotion through the comic… it’s just great all around. The only negative I have is that it didn’t invoke the same level of emotion in me as the TV show, but that is to be expected, considering the difference in format. As previously stated, it still did invoke strong emotions in me, which is impressive for a book to successfully achieve.9/10, do recommend.
