Fits my XDS-9, wish there were more options for other types of red dots. But this will do.

After installing the mount and optic using the manufacturer-recommended torque of 12 inch-pounds, I experienced an accident in which the optic and mounting base detached from the pistol during use and struck me in the face. Fortunately, I was wearing safety glasses, which prevented any injury. Initially, I assumed this incident may have been due to an installation error on my part. However, as a result of the incident, one mounting screw and a metal alignment pin from the slide support were lost, requiring me to purchase a second mounting base. I reinstalled the new base, once again carefully ensuring the correct torque specification was applied. Unfortunately, the same failure occurred again under identical conditions. Following this second incident, I conducted a detailed inspection and determined the root cause of the failure. The screws provided to secure the mounting base to the slide are not of adequate length. Specifically: * The mounting base thickness is 3.5 mm * The slide receiver depth is 1.8 mm * The total screw length is 4.7 mm This configuration results in only 1.2 mm of effective thread engagement, leaving approximately 0.6 mm of thread missing for proper fastening. In practical terms, only about **66% of the thread is engaged**, which is insufficient for a secure and safe mounting under recoil. From my perspective, this represents a clear design flaw that poses a safety risk to the end user.
