I just started composting and wasn’t sure what I needed for kitchen scraps. This cute little thing is perfect! It doesn’t take up a lot of counter space, it doesn’t smell and it’s very easy to use. It comes with one charcoal filter and a little rubber mat for it to sit on so it doesn’t move around or scratch up the counter top. What I really like about it is that the little pail lifts out so you can take it to the composter, rinse it out and start all over again. Perfect for my needs. GREAT buy!

We've been using this for over 3 years and it's still going strong. It's much cuter than the one we had before this (which rusted). I was worried the plastic might crack with time, but those fears have been unfounded thus far. Would definitely buy again! (But it seems I won't need to, which is even better.)

The lid doesn't fit terribly well, which gives this comport bucket a slightly rakish grin. That, combined with depressions on the rim of the lid that suggest eyes, give this container a quirky personality—we named ours Ted. However, it holds a fair amount of kitchen green waste and is easy to empty. The inner container is dishwasher safe. The lid is tricker to clean because of the compartment for the filter, but the filter does seem to do a good job keeping odors in, even during a culinary debacle involving some very smelly daikon radishes. It also keeps fruit flies out, despite the fitting issue. We selected this one because the price was reasonable and we are happy with it, manic grin and all.

I really like this compost bin. We keep it under our kitchen sink and use it as a chicken bucket for food scraps. The design is simple—the lid seals well and keeps any smells contained. It’s small enough to stay out of the way but holds a good amount.

I got this to replace my old compost bin that rotted out over time. Even though it's slightly smaller (due to the plastic insert bin), it's a far better design. I can use my old charcoal filters, the lid has no holes (so no bugs) & because of that plastic insert, it's super easy to clean and stay clean (& not rot out). Great buy.

This compost bin worked well for the first month we had it but then all of a sudden the handle just broke off. It clearly isn't made of great quality. For the most part, it keeps the smell inside the bin just make sure you clean it properly (as you would all compost bins!). We liked the look of it on the counter because it was simple and goes well with lots of decor. Since the handle broke off it was super annoying to have to empty because it had sharp edges.

Exactly what I’ve been looking for forever! I bought two. They look good, don’t take up a lot of counter space and hold a substantial amount of peelings, etc. The plastic inserts are easy to take out and clean. So far, no smell, and NO FRUIT FLIES! We got these because the tops don’t have holes - I’ve tried the types that do, and they seem to attract the pests. The fruit fly season here was waning when we got these, but they disappeared fast and I haven’t seen one since!
