DOGS LOVE, & longest lasting SmartBone product...
First of all, these bones are considerably long lasting compared to any/all of the other SmartBone products. With that said, it's still not "long".I've bought all the varieties, after I was 1st astonished at the rate my dog (30lb sheltie) finished his initial SmartBone in Large. I was expecting the time of consumption 2 be comparable to a traditional rawhide bone of its size....BUT, they aren't & aren't supposed to be, I don't think? None of the products in their line are going to keep your dog as busy as long as a traditional rawhide bone; which is frustrating when it's 5x the cost....some feel like an oversized biscuit being fed to them. With that said, I've had the MOST success with these large butcher bones. I have a collie & sheltie (he's 35lbs, & a more aggressive chewer, not as powerful but downs anything faster) my collie is 60lbs 7 month old pup. Taking into account they both try to get them finished in Olympic time, they hold up better than I'd expect for the brand.I'd give them up to 15 minutes of intense, chewing enjoyment. For the price of $4, it's a no brainer. Other stores they're 4x this cost. (Both dogs got sick of the "doubletime" rolls, which is odd; but even when they did eat them they didn't last as long & they're much more $) These are likely a better flavor than the doubletime & other, similarly colored SmartBones...as they smell more primal aka yummy for a dog (*Def not bad- if ur buying dog bones, don't expect a rosey scent!!)-I'd consider the scent very minimal, but present vs other SmartBones which don't have any odor, bc they're ultimately just gelatinous flavored grains formed into shapes. However, you'd need to be leaning directly over them to smell it & is gone once they're consumed (and wouldn't linger if left)As for chew time: these aren't intended to be compared to, or compete w/ Benebones (non edible Nyla-chews) or durabones by nylabone....those are not edible, SmartBones are; other reviewers recommended ppl stick to those, however that's comparing apples to oranges, & most dogs who want a rawhide replacement want an edible bone, they don't look to "faux bones", that cant be eaten. These probably aren't going to be a good brand or fit, in general, for XXL dogs, unless u understand how quickly they'll be gone. Any dog over 60lbs will have this down faster than a pig ear. Aka minutes. I wish they had more durable bones, but given the ingredients IDK if that's possible. Still, these are great & even keep the picky dogs interested over time.

My dog loves these
My dog loves these. She's a fairly strong chewer, so they don't last quite as long as I would like, but they're the only product of this type she likes. She is very particular about her treats and turns down many. I have spent substantially more on antlers to have her ignore them. My only "complaint" is that I can no longer find this product packaged as 3 smaller ones rather than the 2 in a package now available. For about the same price, I prefer the 3 smaller ones. While she finished them more quickly, it provided her with more frequent treats.

Not long lasting
I bought these because they say long lasting. It lasted our 1 year old German Shepard a whole 3 minutes. He sure loved it even though it didn't last long.

Not long lasting!
Y’all, I have five dogs. I have four littles and one big. Obviously, I can’t give my big dog one of the chews I give my littles because it would be a half second and gone.I started giving her pig ears which went quickly but she still got some chew out of it. I switched to cow ears and they take a while but when our youngest started teething on our other dogs and us, I pulled out the old trick book and got the things I got for my others (dodging a name brand because I don’t know if it would be okay even though I’m not comparing them to this).Well, I didn’t want my big girl to end up watching her little sisters nomnom while she was done. I saw this and thought “long lasting” ha!She’s missing some teeth and she still polished this off in ten minutes. I actually thought the puppy had had the guts to steal it and looked in her corner of goodies. Nope. So today I tested the theory. Less than ten minutes and the puppy was outside. My senior dog chose couch cuddles over her chew and my big ended up with her chew.I haven’t paid attention to her poop (potty training puppy) specifically but there have been some interesting textures that after reading some of the other reviews here make me think this treat may have upset her tummy.Because I don’t know that is the case I’m just saying they aren’t long lasting for an aggressive chewer. For a mid sized dog that takes their time, this may be great. For a big girl who went through some stuff before we rescued her, I don't recommend. They are inexpensive so there’s that on the plus side. Again, I’m not sure about her tummy but if you have a pup with a sensitive tummy then you should read some of the other reviews.

Husky saved them!
Our husky devoured about 1/2 of it, and has been hiding the nub around the house for a couple of weeks. He goes thru smarts ticks very fast, and these slowed him down a bit (and were of high enough value that he's hiding them in the house).
