Pretty Good
This video on "diggers" (small and very large construction excavators... including the largest excavator in the U.S.... called Ursa Major... "The Big Dipper") is pretty good for toddlers. It features a nice little song, "I dig dirt" sung to the tune of "Frere Jacques" which is very cute, especially if your toddler starts singing it. I really like that there are both boys and girls (and men and women equipment drivers) in the video, while most other construction videos tend to only show men and boys. My 2-year-old (boy) likes it a lot. However, he more often asks for "Road Construction Ahead" which is a video about how roads are built and has a wider variety of construction equipment (diggers, rollers, graders, etc.). And he even more asks for "Farm Country Ahead" which he calls "the tractor movie" and is in a series with the "Road Construction Ahead" video.

FUN!
My son wore out our vhs copy 25 years ago, getting this for our grandson who will surely wear it out too.

SO great- one of two favorites
This video is awesome. It has a great theme song that my son (almost 3) loves to sing- everywhere, and it is played periodically throughout the video. The video is great for toddlers to young child (full of interesting facts and trivia), and is full of live action clips of different trucks, including the largest dump trucks used at mines, and has short informative interviews (these are very short, and are while the person is doing something, like driving a truck. There is actually a nice little interview with a female driver who comments on people being surprised women can drive the trucks). I would definitely recommend this video for any little one who loves trucks.

A must-have!
We borrowed this DVD from a friend, not knowing how great it really was. We liked it so much we purchased it, and have subsequently purchased many copies for our friends with kids. My boys (3yrs and 11mos) are enamored with this movie! The songs are fun and easy to remember; my toddler now sings the theme song while playing in our backyard. The movie is fun for even the adults to watch (which is really saying something when talking about kids' videos)! An educational tractor / earth mover video that is totally entertaining. This is a definite must-have in every household.

We dig I Dig Dirt!
We bought the VHS I Dig Dirt in 1999 for our son who was 18 months old. He watched it nearly every day, sometimes multiple times. We had to bring it with us on vacation or whenever we visited Grandma. Now, our second son, 2 years old, is addicted. Both boys love to sing along to the music and play with their toy trucks while watching the video. We have an extensive video/DVD collection for our children, but none have been viewed as often as this one. Today I am ordering the DVD version in case something should happen to the tape. I would highly recommend this title for young children.

Kids love this
This was sons favorite video when he was little. We had a flood and I had to throw out hundreds of old VCR tapes and he is now 15 and I told him I had run across it and had to throw it out and he didn't want me to. So I ordered a DVD of it and we got a kick watching it again. I then put it on for my nephew when I babysat him and he was mesmerized by it. I still remember the song after all thee years. Great video for kids.

Favorite DVD Video
Our 2 year old grandson loves diggers and this video is watched over and over. He often sings the Digger song throughout the day. For the adults in the family watching this video over and over at 6:30 in the morning can be a little much. But it gives early morning quiet time. This video is a must for any child who loves diggers. It is a much requested DVD.

my 2 boys spent 2 years watching this video (on VHS) in 2005-2007. It's a must-have for any parent of children that LOVE diggers, dirt (and watching repetitive movies over and over again). In all seriousness, it was their favorite movie as toddlers and kept them entertained for HOURS.

my son is obsessed
i have ordered this because my son watched it nearly every day with his grandparents in america. it is cleverly done, very educational and perfect for kids obsessed with diggers and dump trucks etc. it shows kids getting to "drive" them and learning about what they do, and then they sing the "i dig dirt" song (based on frere jaques) which i'm afraid is rather catching. only 40 minutes long, so better than a full-length movie and educational. the only annoying thing is that it only seems to exist in ntsc. but i have discovered that if you download vlc media player, which is free, you can play ntsc videos on your computer without the whole region switching thing.
