Excellent Screws For A Good Parice
We had three Sunbrealla-covered awnings that rotted away and the replacement cost is now exorbitant, to say the least. Now we are left with three awning pipe frames and what to do about it, the dear wife came up with replacing the fabric with 1"x2" wood slats and the picture shows the beautiful and durable result.Used 312 of these very high-quality, self-drilling screws at an acceptable price. Each slat required 4 screws which we predrilled both the wood slat and the pipe with a 3/32" drill bit. We decided to pre-drill for each screw because going into a rounded pipe would not be possible. The wood now penetrated and served as a guide to the screw tip going into the pipe, which might otherwise slip around. Worked out beautifully but had to set the drill chuck cam out at (stop drilling) number 12, otherwise the screw would go in too far into the wood. Highly suggest you practice a dozen times or so to get used to this type of screwing or you may get bad results here and there in your project.Have a bunch of screws left over but the price for them was very good anyway.

Good product
Exactly what I ordered. Shipped fast too

Expensive
Good stout screws but you will need to pre drill your holes and they are expensive.

Follo
Bought these screws to replace the floor in my gooseneck trailer and ended up ordering 340 of them. Had to drill about 75% of the holes because the screw would not drill into the angle iron. As far as the screw itself, good screw and none broke, and none of them stripped the head out. I’ve had self tapping screws before that drilled better than any drill bit. I have a handful left over, I’m going to sharpen them up and try them, they look and feel dull.

great product
These screws work perfect . They do not break when they get in a bind. I also like the box they came in. Very sturdy and the bible verse was just a beautiful plus to a hard job . I had to put a new deck on a 32ft trailer . Terry

does it's job WELL
I pre drilled 3/16th holes for these and they took A lOT of work out of the job. not 5/5 10/10.

The drill point not good quality.
I used these screws to install new deck boards on my 18’ utility trailer. While using, the drill point of the screws failed over 50% of the time. They appear to not be made of a quality of steel to withstand drilling. I needed to drill pilot holes for the screws, then install the screws. Not a big deal. Once this was done, the screws worked as expected. The steel I was drilling into was 3/16” thick.

Better Than Expected
Bought these to attach 2x6 pressure treated lumber to a steel frame on an ATV bridge over a small stream. They worked perfectly for that application. I drilled a pilot hole through the 2x6's, then used these self-drilling screw to attach the lumber to the metal frame. The steel frame was about 1/8" thick. The screws drilled through in about 15 seconds each, using a variable speed 3/8" corded electric drill and torx/star driver. Worked quickly, and perfectly. Excellent product.

Not self tapper
These will not even self tap into aluminum without a pilot hole. Note these do not come with driver bit for the screws.Extremely overpriced

They work great for trailers
I used these screws when I replaced the floor boards on my aluminum trailer. The screws don't require pilot holes, you can drive them directly through the wooden boards and then to the aluminum frame. The side tabs help drill through the wood without catching on it, then break off once you drill through the aluminum frame as the screw grabs the metal. The torx head is solid and avoids stripping; the color matches the wood, so they blend in. I drove 100 screws and did not break or damage a single one. Worth the extra cost, as I first tried cheaper screws which kept breaking and stripping.

These screws work well
I fastened the new deck planks on my 16 foot trailer. These screws work very well for that as they are self threading. The only thing that I found is that there are some variations in steel strength and so some holes had to be pre drilled.

Excellent
Purchased them to deck over my equipment hauler, I recommend pre drilling the holes first, excellent product, definitely buy again

Self tappers
Self tapping screws work alright, they don't do 1/4 inch steel with one screw, they go dull before penetration. 1/8 inch is fine, 3/16 is max
