that doesn't make it any less of a great product. Most gun snobs are Tacticool
I have had every brand of holster known to man. I have a CCW permit and I have several "carry" weapons, from snub revolvers to compact 1911's. For the last several years my first choice has been Alien gear. The comfort, for me, could not be matched by anyone else. Until I bought one of these. These things may look cheap and will definitely cause the gun snobs of the world to turn their nose up but, that doesn't make it any less of a great product. Most gun snobs are Tacticool, not tactical anyway. I bought this because regular IWB holsters are a pain when exercising and if using them with a pair of basketball shorts, it becomes difficult to pull the firearm. My idea was to use this when my wife and I walked at night or when I was at the gym. The first thing I noticed was that it held my XDs very snug and secure (looseness was my biggest worry). I also could not believe how comfortable it was. That evening, I split firewood for a couple of hours and could barely tell it was even there, after a couple adjustments at the start, it did not interfere or become uncomfortable in the least. Later that evening, I put it on before we went out to dinner, wore it during dinner and shopping, came home and FELL ASLEEP while wearing it. I slept all night. Obviously, this is not a practices one should adopt but, it is a testament to the comfort. There are a couple of potential drawbacks: I could see the material "yielding" and not holding the firearm as snug over a long period of time. Pull from the holster is no problem but, inserting it is not as quick as more rigid holsters, which if you are in a situation where you have to pull your firearm, putting it back quickly is likely the last thing on your mind. So, unless you like to play as if you are Johnny Ringo, it shouldn't be a problem. Both of these things are non issues for me, especially at this price point. I'm going to buy a half dozen and put them back because every time I find something that works for me; they stop making it!

The Core Defender Belly Band, a good addition to concealed carry.
I ordered a size large based on other reviews. I found it about 2.5 inches too long. I can make it work. I'm left handed. The Core Defender is definitely for the right handed. It does not accommodate a cross draw set up. I removed the stitching on the right and used heavy duty Velcro to install a soft sided holster about 5" back from the waist fastener and at an angle for cross draw. It worked out very well. The holster prevents the barrel of the pistol from digging in. It gives adequate support without adding too much bulk. The pistol sits low enough in the holster to protect the trigger. This worked out well. Overall I am pleased with how it turned out. However if you are left handed some adjustments need to be made. There are a couple of points to make. The Velcro waist fastener is slightly larger than the elastic, causing a rough edge to stick out. I trimmed the sides down. It helped a lot. Adding the soft sided holster gave me a lot more confidence that the pistol would stay in place.

Best Holster I've Tried
I have many holsters, enough to fill two large drawers so my review comes with experience. First, this is a very versatile holster. I can fit a S&W J, K, L, or even N frame in the pocket. It holds the gun firmly against my body and it's very thin. You can wear this so your gun is in your belt or you can keep it higher in your belly area. I actually like the second method better. I can put a 3" revolver in there and it's comfortable. Because my waist is smaller than my hips, I just ordered a second one in a size small. This holster will save you so much money in the long run. Instead of buying a dozen $50 holsters, just get this. It's very helpful if you have an odd gun that holsters aren't usually made for, like my Taurus 450 in .45 Colt. The only down side is it does retain some heat, but I find it tolerable when it's in my hip or belly area. I also have a crotch carry style and that type of holster makes my junk way too hot.I'd say this holster is great for a man or a woman, it will fit any body type. I highly recommend it.

Great Product!
Works as advertised. I "walk" the dogs around 1-2AM, in a RV park, with "overnighters" constantly present. Being an old man, and not anxious to get involved in any physical contact, I "carry" while walking the mutts. Since I'm usually just out of the bed to do this, and wearing light house pants, which aren't very conducive to supporting a pistol, this thing works out great. I simply put it on, stick what ever I currently have available as a carry weapon (Either a SigSauer P938 or S&W Bodyguard 380) into one pocket, and my flashlight into a pocket on the other side, and we're ready to meet whatever the nighttime excursion brings!! VERY convenient!! If the material were of a type that was comfortable against bare skin, I would have gone with "5" stars.

Can't say enough
Wow just wow! This holster is AMAZING! I love the thing! I feel like batman! Haha but seriously this thing great! It's right up there with sliced bread! It's so simple yet so brilliant! I carry my Glock 20 which is a full sized pistol as well as a FNH Five seveN which is also a full sized pistol! I also carry 2 extra mags for the Glock as wel as two extra mags for the 5.7 and you wouldn't even know unless I showed you! I honestly think this is the greatest thing since sliced bread! And no one is telling me or paying me to post this its just that great of a product! I love mine and I had trouble finding a comfortable holster I could conceal my handguns with until this little bad boy came along! Just so you know I'm real look at the taco ankle holster I also purchased that one so I can carry my ruger lcr 357 in it. Trust me your gonna want to buy this!

Good Overall
Only thing is gun and/or magazine sometimes pop up and bit when sitting down and standing back up a few times, wish it had something to hold down but overall i would buy again.
