Frank Cole always writes the best characters! You can't help but fall in love with them from the first chapter! Potion Masters is full of action and humor that will have you unable to put the book down.I'm a 5th grade teacher and this book would appeal to both boys and girls who like action packed stories, but want lovable and relatable characters. If your reader enjoyed the Janitors series, Harry Potter, or even Artemis Fowl where there is an entire sub culture living in and among regular people with a hidden way of life, they will love this story.Cole is a master at creating believable and imaginative worlds. I can't wait for the next edition of this series!

Hey everyone, I found this book to be really enjoyable. I read it and pictured a TV series like Bewitched happening, but instead of a witch it was a potions master. I liked the mystery and intrigue I really felt that the characters were distinct and vivid, especially the bad guy. I think there will be some mysteries in the old potions journal, and I feel like this is an encouraging book to young readers, to read, study, experiment, be creative and learn. looking forward to the next ones

Love this book! Cole does a fantastic job of creating loveable, relatable characters and is a master at world-building. I fell into Gordy’s potion-making world that mixes the ordinary struggles of a young boy with the fantastic magic of potions. This book is laugh-out-loud funny and un-put-downable. My kids and I devoured it. Highly recommend for 4th grade and up.

What an amazing book by a very talented author. His words put visions of what is happening in your every thought. Frank Cole is a pure entertaining genius. Can’t wait for a movie adaptation of this one! Harry Potter, eat your heart out.

Frank is one of my favorite authors. I love the cover as well. Its full of excitement and life. His creativity and humor makes you want to read! I feel like a kid again going through the adventures with the characters. This is a must read!!

Issues with every CD for the Audio book. When the last or second to last track would start to play it would stop and then start repeating the last few words. Returned the first audio book for an exchange but the second audio book had the exact same issues. Probably a bad run but it meant I missed out on whole sections of the book. The narration was good. I have heard better narrators and much worst. The one other issue I have is with companies using hub cases to hold the discs. Which means if you want to listen to disc 6 you have to take out the first 5 discs. I really wish they would go back to cases with individual sleeves.

Good book my 8th grader liked it.
