Very impressed, this printer is AWESOME !!!
let me just start off by saying i LOVE this printer.i purchased this printer before actually going threw and reading reviews( i know i know dumb move) but in my defense i was looking for a printer thatwas compatible with my HP chrome book. because my old canon printer wouldnot connect to my chrome book what so ever,so i did a lot of research and this printercame up a lot so i found it for a decent price on here and bought it.well after i bought it i go threw and start reading reviewsafter reading them i was so worried i bought a piece of crap.well let me inform you this printer is AWESOME!i read so many reviews about it being Slow..this printer is no where near slow, ( unless I'm out of the loop& there's a printer out there that's lighting speed that i know nothing about)this printer IS NOT SLOW! it prints off a full page of words/ pictures in seconds.setup - it took me less than 5 minutes to set this printer up. really easy set upi will say you are REQUIRED to download the HP printer app to set this printer upbut don't worry you just push a few buttons and its set up.HP printer app- the HP printer app is required for set up, but you're going to want this appit connects to smart phones and tablets. i have a iPhone and it works great with it. its nice becausesay you're scrolling on your phone you see something you need to print, just save it to your phone go tothe HP printer app select print & BAM! your printer is printing what you need from your phone. which is SOnice so you don't have to hop on the computer and print it off. the HP printing app for your phone is a nice touch and i LOVE it!!....instant ink- i DID NOT BUY instant ink. i did read a few reviews about that prior to purchase and i decided it wasn't for me so i can't comment on instant ink, but i will tell you the ink that came with this printer worked for me. i did read where a few people couldn't use the ink provided in the box because they didn't buy the instant ink well that's not the case with me. so i don't understand why some people had issues with their ink. but i did buy extra ink just in case because i didn't want to have a new printer with no ink. so i'm already ready for when my ink does run out lol... so i guess don't worry about buying extra ink right now because the ink provided worked. but just do whatever you'd like.Print quality- its excellent for words & picturestech support- i cant comment because i have not needed to talk to tech supportscanner- i have not used the scanner, but it looks nice and i don't think ill have any issues with scanning something or the clarity,so all in all I'm very happy with my printer, i've already told my friends and family how awesome this printer is.i know some people have some crappy reviews but in my personal opinion this printer is awesome and you'll LOVE it.way to go HP you did great with this printer!

Perfect for home use
I bought this to replace an aging OfficeJet 4500 that didn't have the wireless function. Though this model does not print as fast as the OfficeJet, it is still fast enough for my occasional home use, and the print quality is more than adequate. I never used the Fax feature on the old printer, in fact, I don't even have a landline any longer. We currently have two laptops connected through our wireless network without any issues at all. I was a little worried by the bad reviews, but suspect that many of the issues were from people connecting and using their phones, especially with a direct wireless connection. I really like the way this printer looks in my home office. Very clean and modern looking. I'm so glad that white is back in fashion because the dust doesn't show up as easily. I also like the fact that the paper feeder is vertical at the back, and the output tray can be left folded up unless I need it for a big job. Same with the scanner document feeder, the paper tray can be folded up, and I can still feed it one sheet at a time. Those feeders were big dust collectors on the OfficeJet, and made keeping it clean a real nightmare. The setup was easy using HP Smart, and adding devices was even easier. Have not tried connecting a phone yet because we don't use our phones for much more than calling and texting. As far as the ink cartridges go, I did not sign us up for Instant Ink because we only need ink maybe every 18 months. I also discovered that buying 3rd party HP67XL refilled ink cartridges work very well, and save me money in the long run. For some reason, probably to appear lower priced, HP only fills their XL cartridges with enough ink for a tad over 200 pages. The Yatunink cartridges I bought yield 630 pages of black and 400 pages of color, and work just as well.

Only Regret…oh, AND lost time, money, business ops, and my trust in HP
I dislike nearly every aspect, both functional and not, about this printer. The color is okay, if not “meh”. Bought mine nearly 3 years ago because I trusted HP products and wanted reliability and sensibility. I seriously doubt my printing talley total exceeds 50 or 60 pages to date - and quite frankly, the same frustrations cycling through over and over again without remedy caused me stop trying to achieve basic functioning.I will spare my reader gory details and sum up my attempts to get what I paid for as follows:Never Again will I place faith in HP product, recommendations, trouble-shooting, or that they have any additional priorities AFTER they receive monetary compensation. In my [humble] opinion, this company tolerates a culture where individual accountability is absent. Throughout my “adventure” with HP that resulted in my gain of a 10 lb paperweight, I heard the same quoted conjob from multiple representatives and most appeared to have the script memorized verbatm. My unhappiness and dwindling opinion of HP began upon my first attempt to set it up on an android and also intermingle with iphone directives. That was three years ago. What caused me to share my experience and/or intent today was a combination of things, most certainly the paragraph I read today requiring new ink cartridges to be HP ONLY and that new firmware updates ensure incompatibility with ANY cartridge not made by these __________ at HP.Really?? Let me see if I understand correctly…you want more and more from me but if I call for assistance a few days past your brief access window, I am halted and informed the good advice and direction is only offered if I pay even more money? How many times do you profit from a sale after the initial purchase??? When fortunate enough to achieve ~10-12 printed successes it became clear to me that the larger cartridge size offered by HP means NOTHING. (Dear reader, do not presume you will be able to print more). I went through 3 large ink cartridges paying top-shelf prices as required by any HP item purchase. One cartridge allowed me 9 pages then on the screen it indicated time for more!!Printers need ink to provide the product it was purchased for. HP, shame on the blatant greed that allows a company to squeeze customers by advertising that indicates a larger ink quantity and then refusing to allow individual choice for how, and with what, we acquire more and replace depleted ink. And just to make certain no one sneaks by Big Brother’s Gate toward autonomy, your firmware hijacks a fully paid for (and useless) gizmo no longer in your possession and solely in mine? AreYaKiddingMe???Wow, apparently your company has no plans past a few years from now because I do not believe people will quietly tolerate this policy. In a global climate like ours where so many struggle to maintain electricity and food for their families, I do not believe your previous popularity and trust received will continue. My trust in HP is gone.
