Got this to replace a "top quality, waterproof" holder from a well known company H..lf..ds. that fell to bits very quickly. This is such good quality I have no hesitation in fixing my £1,000 phone to it when I go on the trails. It never shows signs of letting go, has "extra" straps to double underline the security and is so well built I am amazed they can sell it for the price point it is. It is cushioned perfectly so my phone is securely cossetted in a firm luxurious grip. Tried holders at 4 times the price that do not come close to this quality.Definitely the one to go for. £1,000 phone?? Monkey Trail? Easy peasy.

The unit is a screw based mechanism which works and holds the device (is cup shaped at the bottom so aesthetics work). Two issues though. First is to make sure the screw is tight because it can work loose with bumps. Second is that the neck that holds the holder itself doesn’t have a full range of motion when twisting. It has click stops every 1/4 inch or so which means you can’t adjust the phone straight if the holder is not straight on the handlebar. This makes the phone gps marker slightly skewed.

Robust stylish easy to fit

A lot of dirt tracks and off road and this has been great on my 4 week tour. I added one of those rubber "spiders" too, and used it in my road bike before this.

The concept is really quite good and was using this for deliveries, however broke after a handful of rides as rough roads and cobble stones tore it to bits. The top part fell off as it just a normal screw that holds it into the the bottom and bottom part tapped itself.The mechanism that holds the phone to it is really quite good though If they ever make a V2 version of this they should just get rid of the swivel mound and make it one sold item as for navigation don't need to use phones in landscape as portrait is better as you can see more of the road ahead. Would ask them to change the screw on the right to tighten it to something with more purchase sort of like a key as small round grip blisters your thumb with constant use or add a lever action to tighten it and use screw to set it the rough size.

A simple, not overly styled phone mount is all I was asking for, and this is a solid option that matches well with the aluminium bike frame.
