Great pair of scissors!

Ordered the first one and it rusted and returned it and ordered a replacement. The second one also rusted at exactly the same spots. It is so unlike Wusthof...am thoroughly disappointed...

Many people will say that they are too costly. I agree that the price is high, however, my opinion may put it into perspective. They are excellent, easy to use, easy to clean, have many cutting uses, and should never wear out. For scissor use, they are practical in just about every sense. For those who have arthritis or physical finger strength issues, the features even allow for opening small bottle screw tops (soft drink size and a bit larger like some medicine bottles). The ease of separating the halves for cleaning is also what makes these great. As advertised, they can be used for cutting just about anything from trimming flowers, kitchen food use and even for cutting paper. My wife uses them for everything. Me? Mostly guy stuff. Upon receiving mine, the first thing I did was separate the halves to feel the accuracy of adjustment. I did this due to reading some reviews complaining about that. Mine were perfect, however, had they not been, the adjustment is simple and requires no special knowledge. The second thing I did was cut several thicknesses of paper ranging from thin almost see-through thickness to construction paper. They cut easily and it was easy to maintain a straight line. They should last forever unless lost or unwisely used. Other complaints from reviews were regarding rust. I have not yet experienced that and kind of doubt that I will. Any stainless steel can rust if allowed to do so. I merely dry these after any wet use. Separating and washing in soapy water is easy and good to do when dirty. As with high quality cutlery, I do not let them dry on their own. The drip-dry method enhances oxidation (rust) and can affect the cutting edges the same as with any quality knife. Although pricey, there is something to be said for quality. With the money spent for cheap scissors that keep getting ruined due to rough use on school projects and materials cut, a pair of these scissors could easily be purchased. You really do get what you pay for, and I expect to be purchasing a second pair for my desk. I recommend them and Amazon for your purchase.

I can't believe I waited so long to buy a pair of these. Cutting herbs is now so so easy! Easy to clean, well worth the price.

UPDATE: Ok I am in love with these. They slice nicely, feel great in the hand and are just a joy to use compared to other more normal kitchen shears Ive owned. A solid upgrade. $50 is a little silly for scissors but then again I think $35 would be too cheap for this level of quality. So the premium is for the name maybe. They do come apart – not easily if you are using them but very easily if you want to – might not want to let kids play with them as they definitely become two little daggers pretty directly. But that same feature is what makes them great for keeping them spotless, hidden grime free and dry. A great product thats worth the price if you are using kitchen shears daily. They are a real kitchen tool. Original review: Was expecting a bigger heavier pair of scissors -- but these are nice classic classy and capable. I haven't found any other pair like this and they seem like all time classics. Good purchase.
