Excellent product for those who can't hear or feel their smartphones.
This thing is great. It's really simple, when your device gets a notification your ditto gives you a little shake. When I work I wear headphones the entire night and can't hear anything. I keep my cellphone in a leather belt holster because I move around so much for work I would easily smash the screen if it was in my pocket. This leaves me with no way to hear and BARELY feel my phone when it goes off. I simply downloaded and installed the app, went through and personalized the settings and keep the ditto on me. That's it. I haven't missed a call, text or notification since. As far as the design, its very sleek and simple but honestly the clip could be better. I've dropped it quite a few times because the clip just wouldn't hold on to my shirt or pants. I'm not a fan of the wrist strap either. Luckily I do wear a wrist brace similar to a ace bandage for wrist support while working so I'm able to slide this little guy right under the wrap and it stays in place. It also being right against my skin really insures that I don't miss anything. Overall I am extremely happy with this purchase. I'm just surprised no one thought of this before. I really thought I was the only one with this problem.

Not worth it yet...
Very frustrating! Way too early, in my opinion, to have this product out in the market. Way more development is needed before Ditto is worth using. Primarily, itโs extremely limited in the number of apps it works with. Uber but not Lyft? Really? Why? Clearly I can go down a long list of different apps that I would like to get their notifications via Ditto, but no point. None of them will work except for a handful. Worst of all, and this is so bad it's actually funny, it only works with the stock email app (I guess). I did not test email notifications thoroughly but did not need to. The only thing that matters to me is if it works with the email app I am using, which in my case is different than the one that came with my Nexus 6, and it doesnโt! Again, really? What's the point? So now, instead of looking at my phone from time to time to see if there are any notifications I missed from any of my apps, I still have to keep looking at it the same amount of time to see if I have notifications I missed from SOME of my apps. Net-net, same thing. So why have Ditto?? Basically, it should have the capability to work with any app that is on my phone that I select or it's not worth having at all. Also, on a more minor note, when there is a call coming in, Ditto should continuously buzz me for as long as the phone is ringing unlike now when I will get buzzed only on the first ring (or at least give us the option to pick between the two.) On the positive side, I really like the fact that you can use it with a strap or clip it on something. Itโs also very light. You almost forget you have it on. The vibration is also nice and strong so that it will be hard to miss, and they provide you with different vibration patterns that you can select from for each app. Thatโs all I got on the positive side.

Updated review
I can't say enough good things about this companys service. Every email and concern is addressed almost immediately. I broke my clip yesterday. No questions asked they are sending a replacement clip. You can't go wrong. My repeat notification concern was partially addressed. They really care I will preface my review by saying that this company has excellent tech support. If you email them with a suggestion or concern, they will respond within a day or so and they care about your opinion and want you to love their product. I give it 5 stars because it does exactly what it says it will, and because of the service. Now for the downside, to me anyway, and the reason I contacted service. Each notification you receive for any of the alerts you choose with occur exactly once. You will get your chosen vibration pattern one time per text, per call, per alarm, per timer, etc. I don't know about you, but there is no way I am waking up from a deep sleep when my wrist vibrates 4 or 5 times then stops. I contacted the company about the possibility of getting repeating notifications and was told they were looking at adding in the future. If you want to know if you are getting a call or text while you are out and about and your phone is in your pocket or purse, this works great, but if you are doing anything that would cause you to miss the initial vibration, you won't get it again. I use it every day and it works well for what it is designed to do, but I need repeating notifications for this to be perfect for me

I'm Still On The Fence
I haven't officially made up my mind yet. I like the concept and theory of it. It is nice and discrete, I like that you can use it multiple ways (wrist band, shirt clip....). Biggest down fall I have is it isn't as powerful as I thought it was going to be. I strap it to the inside of my wrist so it is on a very sensitive part and I can always feel it. Works well for crowded noisy areas that I can't hear my phone but the main reason I really wanted to get this was to use it as a silent alarm so I don't wake up my wife. I get up extra early so the idea of a silent alarm was really cool. Well.....with as gentle as the vibration is it doesn't really wake me up. The other problem and probably more of the main problem is it doesn't vibrate long enough. The app has a built in alarm to use but it vibrates one cycle and then it shuts off. The on/off is kind of a pain as well. There is no switch which is good and helps keep water resistant and also no accidental shut off. The only way to turn the device off is to untwist the front and back, basically removing the battery, well ten seconds later you have now lost on of the pieces and you are screwed. I really want to like this product but find myself using it less and less. Once again, GREAT concept, however needs some tweaking.

I found set-up to be pretty simple. Download the app
As a hard of hearing person, I get excited about anything and everything that may make my life just a little bit easier. Ditto is no different. I was excited to have found it, so I ordered it as soon as I could. I am compulsively checking my phone for emails and texts. The indication light on my phone doesn't always notify me of such things. I immediately ripped open the package. I found set-up to be pretty simple. Download the app, customize a few things, connect your email and you're ready to go. I clipped the Ditto onto my bra (female, here!) so I could feel the vibrations. You can customize the intensity of the vibration, which is nice. But even on "high vibration" I wasn't sure I could feel it if it's in my pocket. Since it was a Friday after-work I decided to give it a test run, and my daily chores. I work in shipping and receiving and I sure glad I wasn't at work! The clip isn't very...clippy? The Ditto kept falling off. I would find it on the floor (where my three dogs could easily find it and chew it to shreds). Ok, I'll deal with it falling off, I'll fabricate something. Except what "did it" for me, was the bluetooth connection. The Ditto kept disconnecting. I have several bluetooth gizmos and never have a problem with them disconnecting, unlike Ditto. I ended up returning the device on the basis that was defective. Because well, it doesn't work as advertise. I think Ditto would be a great, life changing device once the kinks are worked out. I really hope the developers work on the bluetooth issue. If they relaunch Simple Matters, Ditto "bigger and better," I would reconsider the device.

Great and incredibly helpful!
I honestly don't know how I got by without this ditto- it is an absolutely essential part of my day now. I can have my phone on silent (necessary in my office) and still know every time I get a call or text. It has completely stopped me obsessively checking my silent phone to make sure that I haven't received texts. I'm a mom and a caretaker and it's critical that I know when I get texts and calls.. With the ditto, I can have my phone face down on my desk, I don't have to keep checking it, but I know the second that someone is trying to contact me. When I first got the ditto, I found that the battery life was a bit short, but I fixed that by making custom vibrations (very easy to do ) so that the event that happens most (in my case, text messages) get one vibration, while the events that are used the least (tether in my case) have three vibrations. That way the usage on the batteries is extended. In terms of the strength of the vibration, I have no problem with it at all. I have the ditto clipped to my bra, with the clip side farther away so the ditto actually touches my skin. I ALWAYS feel the vibration quite clearly. Again, I can't imagine how I got by without this device. It's really impressive.

Terrible battery life even with virtually no usage
I WANT to like it, it's exactly what I was looking for (something to quietly alert me when I get the call to run catch a baby in the middle of the night and not wake the hubs) but alas, after less than 2 months, 6 new batteries (and now not working at all) and having it pop off my clothing all the time due to the clip design which holds only 1 thin layer (not bra straps etc as indicated).....I'm just resigning it to the junk drawer. For reference, I receive MAYBE 2 calls per week and 10 text messages to the phone this is paired with, I don't use the alarm function or any extra alerts and the battery lasts maybe 1-2 weeks. It also routinely un-pairs itself from my blue tooth (which never happens with my other bluetooth devices so I know it's not my phone) I just can't risk missing a critical call in the middle of the night because the battery went dead or it un-paired itself from my bluetooth. The clip portion will not stay clipped to anything bigger than 1 layer of fabric, so for example, you can clip it to an underwear band, but not to a regular tee shirt collar that has 2 layers of fabric, it just pops off. I don't know about all women, but all of my sports bras and regular bras have too thick of a band and straps to keep it clipped there, I have to put it down in the cup which is a bit weird when it vibrates! And forget putting it in your pocket, the vibrations are not strong enough to feel unless it was maybe a pocket on a pair of Lycra workout pants or something that was held really tightly against you. Sadly, it's a waste of money which is a crying shame because it's a great idea!

LIFE CHANGING PRODUCT
Ditto has been the most useful product i have purchased in a long time. I am very hard of hearing and cannot hear any iphone ringtones. I had it on vibrate, but I could seldom feel it. Resulting in missed calls and texts. My wife could rarely get in touch with me, and I would notice hours later that someong was trying to contact me. Now I wear the ditto on my wrist using the band, and I know immediately when I have a call or a text. My wife is very happy! I am also very pleased to be able to use my phone for a timer ( remember that you have water boiling on the stove!), and and alarm. I wear it to bed and it wakes me up at the needed time. All in all, a great idea and a great product. Highly recommended. BTW, it definitely does increase iphone battery usage. For me, all that means is I have to remember to plug it in every night instead of every 2 or three days. Also I have a charger at my computer and I just plug my phone in when I am online. it's not a problem at all.
