The Book of Simple Songs & Circles: Wonderful Songs and Rhymes Passed Down from Generation to Generation for Infants & Toddlers (First Steps in Music series)

I have several books in this series and refer to them often when designing class curriculae. Mr. Feierabend has done a lovely job of compiling traditional songs and games. Because this genre comes from a primarily oral tradition there often many different versions of the same material. I appreciate that Mr. Feierabend frequently includes some of these alternate versions in his books.

A must have for little ones.

This book is filled with beginning songs and circle games. I use these songs in my music classes grades k,1,2 and 3. The songs cover concepts such as steady beat, sol-mi-la, quarter note, eighth notes and so much more. My students learn and have a good time while playing and singing these songs.
