I use mine all the time!
Such a cute little guy! It makes quick work of making quesadillas at home. It is hard to shut all the way if you put too much in your quesadillas so be mindful of that and donโt force it shut. Just close it down and press and youโre good to go. It cleans easily, heats up fast and has a drip tray for any leaky oils that may happen. It creates perfect sear-lines in the quintessential triangular shape which makes it super easy to cut when theyโre done. I love this thing and I use it ALL THE TIME. You can make sweet treats with this too! Some tortilla shells with peanut butter and cinnamon & sugar with honey on top after itโs heated and cut? Sign me up! Pro Tip: I like to grind my chicken up in my ninja blender first so that itโs flatter and easier to spread on my tortilla shells.

This Works...but
This Quesadilla Maker does work. However, I couldn't get the lid to stay open by itself as pictured. I had to ask my husband to hold the lid while I made the Quesadilla. It did make good Quesdillas. However, they were a little dry and brittle. I sprayed a little oil and water under the bottom one and on the top one before pressing. The wraps came out considerably better that way. The grease catcher seems to be a little useless as I can't imagine what it's supposed to catch. The instructions come in Spanish... so, if I'm doing something wrong, I have no idea. The picture where the parts are numbered and identified is in English... weird... rest is in Spanish with no English version to go with it. So, if you have had one before and know how to use it properly, this will work for you. It is attractive. As far as I can tell, it does not disassemble for washing. It wasnn't difficult to wash though. Couldn't immerse the thing in water, but it was easy to wash up with a soapy rag and then hold each side in the water for rinsing. Getting the whole thing out of the pan and on to a plate was a bit difficult. I guess I need a larger spatula to hold the thing together. Cut nicely though once on a serving plate. I would not recommend this as a child friendly appliance as I feel it's easy to spill or burn yourself when assembling or removing your Quesadilla. I had the idea that my grandsons might enjoy making their own snacks with this... I don't think so, though. I'll make them for them at least until they're more coordinated!! Right now they're still in that awkward stage where they don't seem to know where their hands and feet end and begin, always tripping over things or knocking things over.

What a great quesadilla maker
I just received this quesadilla maker and I was very excited to use this. I made veggie quesadillas. I put some mushrooms green and red bell peppers chopped zucchini and some spinach....I put on at the end in my Ninja foodi smart xl grill for 5 minutes to get those grill marks Than I put just a little butter on the quesadillas than I added some Monterey jack cheese on the quesadilla thanthe grilled veggies and closed the quesadilla maker until it was done. Crispy and delicious. Some people say it's hard to clean I find that if you spray some water on it when it's still hot and carefully wipe it gets it clean. Just got to be patient. Some of these reviews I just can't believe that some are using this the wrong way. Some say the clip on the front that shuts breaks easily well it doesn't unless you have a hand that's hard on it. I have not had any issues with mine. Sometimes you will get thick quesadilla and the chip won't shut to clip down Well that is normal you leave the clip alone because if you force it to close it will break. It's not supposed to close tight with a thick quesadilla. If you follow the booklet than there shouldn't be any issues. For the cheese you can use a little more then a 1/4 of a cup just spread it all over the flour tortilla. Next I'm going to make cheesesteak quesadilla. If you are going to use veggies you have to cook them first before adding to quesadilla or else they will be raw tasting. I have a ninja foodi smart indoor grill and I cook veggies in that before adding to quesadilla. You can pan fry the veggies too before adding to the quesadilla It's just a preference of how you like it cooked before adding. Adding a little butter on the outsides of quesadillas will make it crispy. Make sure you get the right size quesadilla. I bought the larger size 11 inch quesadilla maker so I bought the larger size Mission brand flour tortillas. Hope this helps

I WANT MY OLD QUESADILLA MAKER BACK!!
I got rid of my old Santa Fe quesadilla maker because the plastic latch on the top had gotten brittle and was cracking and crumbling off; otherwise, it still worked perfectly. Now I wish I had it back. I tried to order a replacement on Amazon and the Santa Fe brand wasn't available - I was recommended this one instead. Problem #1: The first time I used it, I prepared the quesadillas the way I always had and apparently this quesadilla maker isn't as deep because all the cheese squished out the sides creating a huge mess. Which led to problem #2. The next time I used it, I didn't put as much filling in the quesadillas, but it still cooked out and ran over the sides. It's just not deep enough to make a good quesadilla. Problem #2: This quesadilla maker is NOT easy to clean up. It is coated with a non-stick surface (of sorts) but it is definitely not completely non-stick. There was LOTS of sticking! Also, it has a drip catcher and the outer edge has a groove to catch the grease and melted butter, but there isn't enough decline on the groove and the melted butter and grease just sit in the groove. It doesn't run down toward the drip hole. Once the quesadilla maker is cool enough to clean it, all the grease has solidified. I ended up having to spray it down with soapy water and use a wooden kebab skewer to clean out where it had overflowed into the sides of the quesadilla maker. Problem #3: The third time I used it the plastic latch popped off as I was unlatching it when the quesadilla was done. I tried to put the latch back on when the machine cooled down but I can't get it to go back on. I can't tell if it's broken or if it's because the plastic was more pliable when it was hot and now that it's cooled it is too stiff. Regardless, I can't get the latch back on so the quesadilla maker is useless to me right now. I looked up my order and the return window closed 2 weeks ago (figures!) or I would have returned it. I am NOT satisfied at all with this product.

Customer support slow, but responsive.
Review revised and star rating increased to 3/5. It took 6 weeks, but customer support did eventually replace the broken item. I will give them credit for honoring their warranty and standing behind their products. Original Review: I purchased the quesadilla maker and was able to use it for about 10-15 times before the latch broke. The latch appears poorly constructed with very thin plastic that apparently does not hold up to heat very well. I contacted customer support within the warranty period to see if they could send a replacement latch, but after several weeks and multiple emails, I still have a broken product and no customer support. The non-stick coating also does not hold up very well over time. I would definitely look at other brands if you are in the the market for a quesadilla maker.

Donโt listen to the whiners!
This quesadilla maker is great! Just read the manual and donโt over stuff your fillings, you only need a little bit. Middle is chewy and outside is crispy. Leaves toasty marks so you can see where to cut apart with a pizza cutter. Makes little sealed pie shaped pockets. All these people who say the thing broke or they put their hand through it(!?) must be stuffing it with an inch of fillings and standing on it. Haha Anyways, go ahead and order it without reservation, it works great and makes delicious quesadillas!
