Siljans Croustades Crispy Shells - 6 pack

I have a hard time describing the crispy texture of these little shells, but I use them for savory mousses, ceviche cups, etc. The flavor is neutral to slightly salty, so I don’t think they will pair well with sweet fillings. The texture is sort of like a light, crispy wonton? Anyway, they were a huge hit at several potlucks and I will absolutely order them again. No broken cups, perfect shipping.

I love the fact that I can purchase hard to find grocery items from Amazon. My grocery store use to sell these but no more. They are tasty and I fill them with chicken salad. Perfect for any holiday gathering or party.

Every sleeve had at least one broken that couldn’t be used, and at least two that couldn’t be served. Also the heft of this was minimal. It’s a third as thick as a tortilla chip. It’s probably as thick as three flakes of an egg roll put together. Also, this could be preference but it’s quite small. Smaller than a silver dollar. So be prepared to cup very small amounts of food.

Great for little hors d orves. I love to entertain and these are always very well received and eaten up

I purchased these premade pastry cups after being unable to find frozen phyllo cups in any stores locally. They taste fine and we’re indeed crisp, but they did not work for my needs. I had a soft creamy filling to use for appetizers and these shells were WAY too hard; I wanted a flaky, melt in your mouth pastry feel. I think if you had a filling that was chunky & requires chewing they would be fine. Otherwise, they arrived well packaged and in tact. They are really tiny, filling them would have been a challenge - maybe needing a piping bag for quick & easy assembly.

The shells arrived in good condition. None were broken. I would never order these again because of the taste and texture. They are crisp but have a staleness feeling, not a fresh crispness. Also, they have a fishy smell and a mild fish taste. I tried to fill these shells with five different fillings and not one of them was pleasant. Very disappointed.

They are a little smaller than I thought but will work perfectly for an anniversary party next year.

Love love love these and they are sooo hard to find . Use them alot stuffed with chicken salad when catering and everyone raves about them. Since the grocery store in our hometown stopped carrying them, I was really glad to find them on Amazon. The only problem to keep them from getting a five star is that a few of them came broken. I’m sure hard to do with something so fragile, however it felt like it should have been packaged in a cardboard box instead of a soft envelope to prevent breakage.
