Fun crazy quelf
This game is somewhat similar to Cranium, except for the fact that you can't believe the creators were sober when they came up with the thing. You choose a character with a bizarre name, such as "The Biscuit Farmer," "The Super Ninja Monkey," or "Queen Spatula," who come along with a bizarre description, and move them along the board. To reach the end you draw cards, with each card deciding the appropriate action. There are five different colors and categories of cards, "roolz," "quizzle," "stuntz," "showbiz," and "scatterbrainz." An example of the kinds of crazy insanity that might ensure if each card is chosen: Roolz: "Every time a `1' is rolled, all players must say, "Hail to the Chinese biscuit." The last player to say this must pay the penalty." Quizzle: "What color is blue?" Stuntz: "Did you have a bad lunch? Give us 3 good, loud burps." Showbiz: "Set the timer. You are the President of the United States. Give us a speech about your foreign policy in Nepal. Do this until the timer runs out without breaking character to avoid the penalty." Scatterbrainz: "Draw a card. (For instance, `Countries in Africa), and each person playing must give an answer, going around the table until someone gets stumped. This game is fun, even if someone crazy. Whoever you play with must have a tolerance for some silliness, but in this game that's the fun of it. There is little to no set up, and it's a good way to get to know people better . . . and obtain blackmail pictures.

Quelf is surprisingly fun for everyone.
I took a chance on this game. I never heard of it. But, our family is always the type to give new games a chance. Honestly, it was the amazing illustration and design of the board and playing cards that caught my eye. These guys sure know how to make really great and fantastic illustrated characters!

wonderful family game that encourages interaction & creativity
My nephew has a LOT of games and toys, and picking out a great Christmas gift that no one else was going to give him was a challenge. Buying something he would love and use for years to come was an even bigger challenge. This game met all my criteria. It is different, challenging, flexible, and entertaining. He is a bright child who is very creative and loves to make up characters in a whimsical way. In addition, this game provides the ability to have his somewhat serious dad (sorry, brother) have to do silly things - like sing or make a necklace and wear it. It is flexible - the cards can be screened for tasks/ideas he isn't old enough to do or understand(I admit I bought it when he was a bit too young). Yet it has enough range that we can all play it - from kindergartener to grandmother - and laugh. When I visit, this one is pulled from the stack of games and we do this as a fun activity after supper. In a year and a half (yes, I'm slow writing the review), the game is still fun and fresh and enjoyed. And further, the adults in his life have not tired of it (compared to say, "Candyland" which quickly lost it's charm!). I highly recommend it.

gift
This was a gift for our grand daughter a couple of years ago. As far as I know she loved it.

Quelf is GREAT!
I am a youth pastor in Northern California and purchased a copy of Quelf online 2 weeks ago. I Quelfed for the first time with my teens on a Wednesday night and they loved it! In fact we are supposed to be finished at 8:00 and we played until 9:00 because we just couldn't stop! That weekend we brought it to our Family Camp and Quelfed for the second time with a group of 15 people from the age of 5 to the age of 50 (We had to Quelf in teams of 2 because so many people wanted to play). WHAT A BLAST!!! It was the highlight of the weekend. It was so much fun that we sat around the campfire after the game was over and just did the stunts and trivia. The next Saturday my wife and I had another couple over for dinner and put the kids to bed early. The four of us Quelfed and laughed so loud the kids couldn't get to sleep in the back of the house. We had the teens over again that next night and were going to watch a movie until they saw the Quelf game sitting on the counter, so we QUELFED again! Every time we get together the game comes up and we start laughing. I was getting sick of all the Napoleon Dynamite quotes being thrown around... No worries anymore. We have something new to rave about! QUELF IS A MUST HAVE FOR ANY GAME LOVER!!!

Wiggity-Bank indeed!
We LOVE this game. Family introduced us to it at holiday time, and we just had a blast. We have 5 daughters ages 11-16 and it is the perfect game to play with their friends. It's entirely random, which is really the best word to describe it -- probably invented by cocky college seniors who got drunk one night! But random makes it very funny. It's also quite wholesome, which is a big plus for our family. No rude jokes or crass humor. I highly recommend it to a family that would like to play a board game every now and again. Very glad we purchased this.

A video gamer's board game!
I played this with my teenage sons and some of their friends one night. There were times when we were literally laughing until tears rolled down our faces! They were all skeptical at first about playing (since they enjoy video games and don't play board games much), but they decided to humor the old lady (me), and now they want to play it every weekend! With the number of cards in the Quelf game, there should be an infinite amount of playing possibilities. I strongly recommend this game. It's also great for kids who are a little shyer than their peers...draws them out in a safe environment.

Best family board game EVER
If you're looking for a game that will get the whole family involved, this is it. I saw it recommended in a blog and had to purchase it for our new year's festivities. At first I couldn't talk everyone into playing, but once I convinced them and it got started, the fun began! This game has you doing crazy things and laughing your head off. Even my mom liked it, as she hid in a blanket fort the game instructed her to make for one of her turns. Best game money you'll ever spend!
