Look awesome and very sturdy!
Installed on a 2003 Jeep TJ. I purchased these for 2 main reasons being the look and a review I had read on a Jeep parts site. The reviewer had put them on his daughter’s Jeep TJ and several months later she was t-boned at a 4 way intersection. The heavy duty steps took the majority of the impact and they kept her from getting any serious injuries. They look awesome and I am very happy with the construction and quality of the steps. Pro Tips for Installation: 1. Find an office chair and take off the back and use it to position the step for marking the holes. Place the step on the chair at the approximate height and roll it under the side. Use the lever and piston of the chair to raise the step to the desired height. Back saver and turns a 2 person job in to a 1 person job. 2. Use a small drill bit to start the holes and drill through the frame. A smaller bit is less likely to walk like the 5/16” bit that is required for the finished hole. 3. Use an Impact Driver to screw in the bolts! I honestly don’t think you could get them in any other way! Apply as much pressure on the driver as humanly possible on each pull of the trigger. Pulse the driver as you push forward. Don’t just press and hold the trigger or the bolt will spin and strip. I still stripped two bolts out of the 16 using this method. The only negative I had were the bolts could have been a higher grade to avoid stripping but this might have just been inevitable when forcing self-starting bolts through a steel frame. Overall excellent product that was packaged very well and look great installed. They definitely give me a little more sense of security when rolling with the doors off. If you don’t have the impact driver or knowledge to install then have them installed.

Very Disappointing
The package arrived ahead of time, this is the only high point of this review.Upon opening the package I realized that the majority of the self tapping bolts were missing. Only 7 of the 16 bolts were in the package and these were spread out inside the package. The others must have fallen out of one of the multiple holes torn in the outer box. Very frustrating having to wait to install the product because the parts were missing. The coating looked very good on the bars, however there was one bad weld area on the lower tube. This creates a hole between the lower tube and the upper tube which will allow water to get inside the tube. I will probably just try to repair this myself rather than hassling with returning the bars. This was my first large purchase from Amazon and will probably be my last. VERY FRUSTRATING!! If I had it to do over again, I would have gone to my local 4WD shop and have them install a set of bars from their selection.

Look Great
Sturdy and nice looking... Took about 1 hour to install but I have a very large drill and used an impact gun to install self tapping screws.

Side bars!
Finally installed these in May 2015. Looks really good on the Jeep. A little hard to install, make sure you have a good drill bit. You will need to remove the rear tires to install the final two bolts. I haven't done that yet, and it is still really secure. Looks 10x better than the factory side steps.
