It does work wonderfully to identify where the veins lie
I found that this works exactly as advertised. It does work wonderfully to identify where the veins lie. What it does not do is perform miracles for venipuncture. I am a RN with 30 years of Dialysis experience. I purchased this for my unit for teaching "newbie's" how to assess and cannulate a dialysis access .It is a great confidence booster for those who are new to venipuncture. It works perfect for this application in identifying where the vessel is. What it can't do is teach depth or technique. With that being said you must still consider that the technique still remains the same it just helps by taking the "I don't know where it is" out of the equation. What I have learned is that if you are experienced and need a "vein finder" to find the vein. Then the vein is generally too small and fragile to support IV fluids or medications. It is a great product for teaching

Vein finder and stabilizer
I absolutely love this instrument and consider it a must have for any nurse performing IV insertions. Easy to use and very good at identifying veins, even those little ones that are deep and difficult to see. I highly recommend this item. Worth every penny

Surprisingly Good
Did not expect much when I saw it was made out of plastic but it works well even on darker skin.

Does NOT show veins for blood draw or IV starts
I am a nurse and have used a similar product that was supplied at the hospital. I moved to Kansas City from San Antonio and really missed not having a “vein finder” so I purchased the Veinlite to share at work. Don’t waste your money! It only shows superficial veins that are too small for blood draw or starting an IV. I was so disappointed. Couldn’t even show veins I could feel.

Works like a Pro. 😊
Worth every penny! Hardest patient ever in over 10 years of nursing. I was starting to feel like I was losing it.. This Pro made Me a Pro again! Bam Bam!! First stick. Love it.

Works, just not on me.
I returned mine. It DOES work, just on me. This is why I gave it three stars. I have naturally tan skin and my veins didn't show up. My nurse, who has pale skin, put it on her arm and the veins were very pronounced; so it was the back of my hand once again. It works but if you've anything darker than pale skin, I would recommend that you pass.

Not great
It’s not that easy to see veins unless you put a lot of pressure on it. But if a nurse is doing the IV she can’t free up her hands for using this thing. I don’t find it helpful.
