Perfect travel or lunch box for kids. I purchased this item four times for our three grandsons in different colors. These boxes have been used for tailgating and taking meals to them when visiting across town. There's a super handy freeze tray that fits perfectly underneath the sectioned food tray and stays cold for at least 3-4 hours. I have packed cheese chunks, fresh fruit chunks, cut up meats, cashews, blueberries, dried banana chips, chunked up banana bread, homemade cookies in wrappers. I avoid liquid-y foods like dips or applesauce in case they accidentally open the box upside down. It happens. Washable, durable, leakproof. A real time saver.

This lunch box is honestly such great quality. The compartments are the perfect size for toddler meals, and the leak-proof seal actually works even with juicy fruits and sauces. I love that it comes with a removable ice pack that keeps everything cold without taking up space. The lid snaps securely but is still easy enough for my toddler to open on their own. Cleanup is super simple too. Overall, really happy with it and would definitely buy again.

Update!! After using these upgrades I’ve pack boxes for a school year and a half, we did experience a large crack across the clasp. These boxes have a two year warranty. Customer service was phenomenal to work with. I sent an email asked about the warranty. They responded the very next day requesting pictures of my Amazon purchase details and pictures of the product issue. We now have two replacement lunch boxes on the way! After a year and a half, I still stand by my original review below. These are great boxes! No leaks! They hold an ample amount of food! And my kids love them :) End update We upgraded to these from the previous version, which did not have an ice pack. There is one less compartment. This design eliminated the dip circle in the middle, which we didn’t use anyways. But this design also eliminated the “wasted space” between compartments that existed in the old design, which now gives additional room for the remaining larger compartments. The ice pack adds a negligible amount of weight. Please do not be swayed by other reviewers that suggest that this lunch box is too heavy. When we received these boxes, they were maybe a tad difficult to click open and closed. But after the first week or so, the kids didn’t struggle anymore. So don’t be worried if it seems tough to click at first. We have had zero leak issues and we send fresh cut fruit every single day. We even send apple sauce sometimes. There have yet to be any leaks. Our picky eaters use these boxes daily throughout the entire school year. I do clean them out with hot water and a tiny dab of soap everyday right after school and toss the ice pack in the freezer. Then it’s all ready to go for my husband in the morning. Don’t hesitate to buy these. We really do love them!!

Great little lunchbox; love the colors. Kept a meal cold for two hours in the car and two more hours at the beach. The dividers make better use of the space than a normal Bentgo kids lunchbox (IMO). No trouble getting the lunchbox to open (unlike the snack sinze which we also bought… the food tray gets stuck). Bought it for my daughter to bring her lunches for preschool. She can get it open herself. Only drawback is the cold pack makes it kind of heavy compared to similar options, but not so much that we can’t use it. Bought it in purple as well as we need to pack breakfast and lunch, and the Bentgo kids backpack so one Bentgo chill can go in the backpack and the other can go in a normal lunchbox. Now we the parents each want our own XL size for our work lunches.

The Chill pack is great. It is more convenient than using individual ice blocks in the lunch bag. It keeps fruits and veggies chilled (not cold, but chilled) nicely until lunchtime. It does add a little extra weight to the lunchbox, but not significantly more than slim ice blocks would. The size of the food sections is bigger than the ones in a lunch box without the chill pack. - And I find these slightly larger sections make for a better serving size. The lid on the chill-pack lunch box opens straight up, but does NOT open all the way to lay flat. It’s not a major problem, but it is clearly easier to pack the non-chill-pack boxes which open flat. All three of my kids have one of each type of lunch box. We switch types with the seasons, using the chill pack boxes during the warmer months - to school, sports, pool, etc. All of our Bentgo lunchboxes look like new. I do hand wash them, but it’s quick and easy. Super durable. Latches and seal work great after two years. Bentgo lunchboxes, lunch bags, and backpacks - Our first and only choice. The company and products do not disappoint.
