Are we need to change size of needle to use Metallic Thread??

Changing correct needle size is necessary for Metallic thread. Please use Topstitch Needle with larger eye to work with, such as SCHMETZ Topstitch 80/12 or 90/14 size.

Can this be used for long arm quilting?

I used this on my Platinum 16 quilting machine.

Would this work well for hand quilting?

Perhaps it would work better for hand quilting than it does for machine quilting. I haven't used it for hand. It didn't work well for machine at all.

Can you this on a serger?

I haven't used this thread on a serger because it was difficult to use on my sewing machine. It did not thread well and got tangled continually. I finally gave up on my project because of this difficult thread.
