Very nice car, but could be faster. Still lots of fun!! GREAT customer service!!
This is my 3rd rc car I got in the past few months and for as nice as it is, it's a little slow. Maybe it needs some "break in" time?? I got a Deerc 302e which is much faster with a brushless system and smaller size, which makes it quite peppy and hard to control. A comparison would be unfair but comparing it to a Deerc 9026e (which is the same car) it is slower. Other than that everything else is perfect. I wanted a Deerc 200e (same truck but with a brushless motor and ESC) but decided on this because of the bad reviews on the 200e. I may convert it to brushless in the future but for now I'm thinking of getting an upgraded brushed motor as soon as I figure out which one has the best compromise of power and batt life. I will update this review once I replace the motor. As far as bang for your buck, this truck is perfect at a $99 (delivery fee incl). It is fully proportional and has a lot of parts available. It has a 540 motor and steel driveshafts & "cups". Comes with 2 batteries and 1 charger. An excellant truck for a newbie or someone like me, reviving a hobby I had in the late 80's ps- my Deerc 302e seems as fast as my old Team Associated RC 10. If you're looking for speed & power go with the Deerc 300e or 302e or maybe a 200e. I'm quite fond of the brushless system's performance. UPDATE-- I have upgraded to the 5 star rating. I was probably too hasty to say this car is slow. While not as fast and "torquey" as my 302e, it's plenty fast to get the job done. Top speeds aren't everything, its about having fun with the car too. Gets around in tall grass very well and does'nt flip over due to its low center of gravity. I do have a little concern about the motor temperature after 10 minutes of riding around the grass. It seems hotter than it should be. It wont pass the 2-3 second rule of thumb, if that's even a thing. But I'm sure I will keep this one and just ride it and have fun with it. Replacement upgraded brushed motors are cheap if this one does'nt last. Maybe a brushless upgrade in the future since I like the way this larger car handles. ps- love the "headlights". Update on motor may 19- The holyton is now as fast as my deerc 9206e and the motor no longer gets hot enough to burn my finger. I put a small amount of silicone dielectric grease on the commutator and been running it for hours. I guess the motor did need some break in time. Note, make sure (if you have a brushed motor) that the heat sink does not cover the holes in the motor. The holes need to be open for proper motor cooling. Mine came from the factory with the holes covered so I just slid it down away from the holes. And I always check it when I do a battery change. Very happy with the holyton 9205e!! June 1.---Well the motor did burn up and locked. I must say that customer service is the best!! I contacted the company and they sent me a new motor. It just arrived and I installed it, now the car works fine and seems faster than the old one. It don't get as hot either. Thank you so much for the great customer service. June 15- ps- I have another Deerc rc car and had a few problems. After contacting the company they said they would send me a new replacement. No long forms to fill out or red tape. Just a simple email to Deerc to solve my problem. Also if you call them during their normal business hours, you have the pleasure of speaking to a person and not a computer. If that's not good customer service, I don't know what is. 5+ stars and a thumbs up to Deerc company!!! update- April 2023- The car is still doing fine after a year of playtime. I actually wore the tires almost bald and had to replace them. That should give you an idea of how much the car was driven. The replacement motor that Deerc sent me is doing fine, but I had the itch to go faster. So I upgraded to an Injora 27T motor which is available on Amazon. What a difference!!! It has enough torque to climb over obstacles and also has a much faster top speed!! Under certain conditions it will pop the ft wheels off the ground, something it never came close to. Back to the car- For the selling price and the money I put into maintainence (still less than $200), I am totally satisfied. And I feel like I should mention again that Deerc (who makes this car) Has the best customer service!!! This is a very common and durable chassis which Deerc uses in many of their models, including the 2 new brushless cars, the 200e and 210e. I had a Deerc 9206e and that car was identical to the Holyton 9205e. The only difference was the color of the body. Anyone looking to get into the hobby, get a Deerc rc car. With the durability and great customer service you can buy with confidence. By the way, even though I'm not afraid to take my car off road on many different terrains I DO NOT go to skate parks and sail my rc car 20 ft in the air, like seen on too many u-tube videos. I just don't get the point. Spend 1 to 2 hundred on a toy only to trash it at a skate park??? Just something to keep in mind when I say the car is durable. If you sail your car 20 ft or more in the air I can predict the future. You ARE going to break it.

Super Fast + Super Fun + Super Good Service
I purchased this car as a gift for my 11 yr old son and he loves it. This car absolutely rips and his eyes lit up the first time he hammered the accelerator. The 4 wheel drive system is really awesome as the car still rips as it transitions from pavement to grass or dirt. The suspension is really great too and it allows you to have a nice cushion if the car happens to catch some air. The range on the car is really great as well. One other thing that I noticed with the car is that there are many opportunities to customize or dial the car in to your liking. For example you can adjust the orientation of the suspension to make the car sit lower or ride higher. That's a really cool aspect because the car becomes more of something my kid to tinker with as opposed to only driving the car. However, I do have a couple words of warning. With Speed Comes Risk: Like I've said multiple times this car goes super fast, and my son has had a few serious collisions. Fortunately the car has held up, but you can tell it can only take so many full speed head on collisions into a solid object. This car requires a bit more refinement in driving skill. Expect some parts to break: As stated above the car goes fast and it's not meant to take heavy collision after heavy collision. For us the removeable body that's mostly for aesthetics has cracked in several places and the spoiler broke off super quick. Those are not core pieces and don't affect the driving, but just expect that stuff to break down as you use the car and have fun. Service: One part of the car did break for us that rendered the car undriveable. Again, this was the result of a serious collision and I don't fault the quality of the car for breaking in this case. I reached out to the service group listed in the manual of the car. They got back with me quickly and asked for photos of the problem. They then recognized the issue and are in the process of shipping me parts at not cost under warranty. On that note I did not mention any warranty to them, and I had started off by offering to pay for the parts. They were the ones that brought the warranty to my attention and insisted on sending me the parts at no cost as part of the warranty. This really is a great car for kids (or adults) who are a bit more advanced and can handle the speed.

Very surprised at speed!
Great RC car for the price. I bought two so that I could play with my 5 year old and he was able to control it quicker than I was. Very easy to control. Only downside is that the wheels fall off quite frequently and the nut bolt that holds the wheel gets lost. They do send some replacements but we went through them rather quickly. You have to continue to tighten wheels in order to prevent this. Battery life is roughly 15 minutes at full speed so it's good to always have the second battery charged. Overall, great toy and so much fun to operate. My son loves them and will certainly order more if needed.

Very impressed with a great RC car!
I bought the 920SE 4x4 High Speed RC car for my grandson's 9th birthday. Wow! What a gift. He absolutely loves it! I opened early so I could have the batteries fully charged when he opened it. The car/truck looks awesome. Right out if the box, my grandson had it together in a flash. With just a few minutes going over the details of the controller, he was outside driving away. This is one fast car!!! We had to trim down the speed and steering response for a few minutes to get used to the controls. But that didn't last long. It was no time till he had it turned up and had the car speeding everywhere. I was impressed with how well it traveled on all different terrain. It's seems to be very rugged, which is important to me, since a 9 yo can be quite rough on things. Grass, sand, a little water, concrete, rocks and sticks, this car takes it all. The size of the car is great at 1:12 scale. I really like the way the body and spoiler are held with cotter pins. It makes removing the body for battery replacement so quick and easy. The body is great. The style gives the body lots of flexibility and toughness. I do wish that the small pins were possibly attached to the body by a small wire or something, to help my grandson keep up with them when he takes them off. It is a great idea that you included extra cotter pins, because as small as they are, they're easy to lose. Battery life is great! And the fact it came with 2 batteries, even better. We get 20-25 mins of good, fast paced, hardcore play from each battery. Battery life is part of the reason I purchased this. It really stinks when you buy something like this and the battery won't last even 10 mins. Kids tend to lose interest real quick when a new toy battery dies that fast. This is one great purchase. The last 3 days have been fun filled. Thanks for making such a great 4x4 car!

Fun car. Great for active dog to chase!!
Fun car. I got it for the dog to chase. My Swedish Vallhund has a lot of energy and chasing this every day let's him release it. It will run about 15 minutes or so on grass and driveway. It takes a decent beating, flips and after put back on the wheels it's off again. The only downside is weak hub pins. The car is pretty quick and I think the pins could be a little thicker. I think my next car will be brushless and allow for a bigger battery and something with separate receiver and esc to allow more customization, but for this car it's a great first time RC car!

Cheap Remote Great Car.
We got the car today and my son played with it for about 1 hour. The remote control stopped working as expected. The only way it worked is to make the car move forward. The reverse is not working. The remote is cheaply build compared to the car. The metal support underneath, buffy tires and the mechanical internals of the car worked great. Will return the Car.

Full send baby
It's a great car. But if it's something that you're going to play with it like RC cars are made to I would definitely recommend aluminum steering knuckles, steering and stabilizer bars etc. This thing fell to pieces with my 5-year-old driving it. And he wasn't crashing into stuff. I bought the extended warranty and the warranty company told me to return it to amazon. Still waiting on my refund. Definitely a good car for the price. But not for the average RC guy
