I'm a tea fanatic. I have a 36" wide "tea drawer" full of all my teas. I start with black teas in the morning, switch to green mid-day, and always end the day with a cup of chamomile or peppermint tea. I was visiting friends in Oregon earlier this year, who took me to this tea shop in Portland. Which, by the way, if you have a tea fetish like mine, this tea shop is probably worth a trip to Portland all on it's own. This peppermint tea, and the chamomile tea ("Meadow") are seriously best in class. I've tried the brands with the little pyramid and the leaf on top, the ones in the silk sachets, you name it, I've bought it for myself or been given it as a gift. This is by far the mintiest mint tea I've ever had, and I don't know what they put in the chamomile that makes it taste like a meadow of flowers, but "Meadow" is absolutely the right name for it. I have "Meadow" on Subscribe & Save now, because my husband, who is *not* a tea drinker, has decided he loves it, too. So I have to order enough in self-defense. If you can't actually get to Portland to visit this tea shop, ordering the tea online is the next best thing. Warning: May Become Habit Forming. I only wish more of their items were available Subscribe & Save! Including loose teas, since for hardcore tea people like me, with a collection of infusers, bags just get in the way. In order to get loose teas and other varieties, I have to occasionally make a separate order through their website. But at least the basics come with my monthly S&S groceries.

I am on chemo, and the chemo causes rather severe nausea. I had been trying anti-nausea medications, but the side effects were bad. A nurse suggested I try Peppermint Tea, and that did the trick! At first I was using a grocery store brand, and then a good friend and his wife told me about Stephen Smith Teamaker and his unique blend of peppermint tea. The first thing I noticed was how GOOD it smelled when I opened the box! It brewed up beautifully to a rich brown hue and tasted much better than what I'd been drinking from the grocery store! The tea is also made in Portland Oregon, where I live. So that's nice too. When covid-19 calms down, I do hope I can eventually visit their tea house too. I've also orderd some of their other teas, and can't wait to taste them. I'm sold - I love Stephen Smith teas...and plan to drink a lot of them!

I first tried these teas when I was staying at a hotel near San Diego. I combined the peppermint and meadow flavors in one cup upon another guests recommendation and it was simply delicious! When I got home I ordered both - a nice reminder of a lovely holiday and a warming, calming combo as well. The combination of flavors in the Meadow tea are very unique and special. The peppermint tea is strong and robust.

Best peppermint tea I’ve ever had!

I love this tea! I came across it at a hotel for a convention I was attending. The mint has a strong mint flavor when steeped in 12oz of hot water which is really refreshing. It tastes natural and not over processed or fake. The No. 55 Lord Bergamot is also wonderful and have a fantastic aroma as it steeps. The price is a little high but it's worth it for the quality of tea you'll be drinking.

Discovered this at a high-end restaurant and tracked it down on Amazon. Life changing peppermint, so powerful it shifts your perspective... at least about tea. Highly recommended for peppermint lovers.

These are made in Portland Oregan USA where I tried them and I can honestly say it’s one best I have ever tasted. So good that am prepared to pay over the odds for them. For treat days only mind you.
