My husband has a very narrow foot and usually wears a size 11, sandals are hard to find for him, would this be a good fit?

I find since my foot is wide and I wear a 9.5 I order a 10 and it works out great. Keep in mind they are very adjustable

Is strap in the back adjustable ?

Yes. It has a velcro strap that adjusted nicely for my feet.

is it still mens-7 equals womens-9?

Yes. . .this Men's model will run a bit wider than a Women's 9.0

This hurricane 4 has longer toe straps than the xlt2? have a wide right foot that needs a long strap.

Andrew, I can't say that this sandal has a longer over the toe strap but, I can say that at it's maximum adjustment that the height of the arc in the toe strap is 2.5 inches. With a foot in place, that hight should allow for some expansion from side to side and likely, allows the foot to extend to the edges of the sandal and possibly slightly over. I can't say how this compares to the other sandal model.
