Photolemur 3 - Automatic Photo Enhancing Software [Mac Download]

I am not deleting what I wrote before as what you will find below is still 100% applicable as LONG AS YOU HAVE NOT UPDATED TO BIG SUR. If, like me and tens of millions of others, you have upgraded to Big Sur, then, quite simply, this does not work. Skylum has continued for months now to say it will be updated, but as of now, they have yet to do anything except post responses to people complaining on their official forums. There is zero excuse for the update to not be released. And what has failed to work once Big Sur came out? Saving images! Yes! It can still do everything it claims to do, but it cannot save the photos! It's ridiculous in the extreme that they have not updated this as of yet, and due to this, I cannot recommend this to anyone, nor can I recommend any Skylum product due to the fact they appear to be a rather shady company. I loved this program, and I loved the original and version 2, but again, as of now, it's unusable. If Skylum does, in fact, release an update, then I will put this review back up to five stars as that's what it deserves if it was working. My original review follows below.As someone who supported both the original Photolemur and Photolemur 2, I decided it was finally time to support Photolemur 3 given just how much I had gotten out of the first two. I first want to say that I truly do respect other people's reviews, but this a rare case for me when I do want to say that the one or two star reviews are boarding on unfair, at least to me. As others have noted, it is important to note that Photolemur is NOT a super in depth program for expert users to tweak and edit photos in a million ways. This is a very straight forward and easy to use program that does exactly what it states: makes nearly any photo you put through it look better and more vibrant than the original version but not at all in an exaggerated way. In terms of photo editing, there are options to play with, but this is more or less a "drag and drop" program for beginners all the way up to expert level photographers that want a very easy program to run photos through. Having used all versions for years, I can truly say that I have yet to have one single photo look worse after Photolemur was done with it. Photolemur really excels and goes above and beyond with outdoor shots. On a personal level, photos from our cruises already look great, but after a trip through Photolemur, they truly look outstanding. What this little program can do with sky, water, beach, etc. is very impressive.I could go on and on, but this is a great program for the price, and it does exactly as it says it does. Again, please do note that if you heavily into photo editing and tweaking every little detail, then, yes, skip this as you will most likely be disappointed. However, if you are someone who wants a very easy way to more or less "automatically" make your photos look better, then this is absolutely for you, and I recommend it highly!

Buyer beware: after you've paid, Amazon will email you a download link and an activation code. Here's the problem: the link will take you to the webpage of the maker of Photolemur, SKYLUM, and to their new product, Luminar Neo. There is no option to download the program you just paid for. In other words: you just wasted your money. Thankfully, Amazon customer service quickly processed a refund, but as you can see, they're still selling Photolemur.

Link provided was no good. I spent a lot of time looking for these files to download and was unsuccessful. Now I’m search a way to get a refund for this… it would be helpful if Amazon Digital Manager QAs these digital sellers.

Another company has a monthly subscription with a different kind of software. PhotoLemur 3 is no longer available as advertised as a stand along product. Not able to reach out for refund. Buyer BEWARE!!!!!

Followed direction - can’t download product. Waste of $35.

I need to cancel this...I don't have a MAC...HELP

I bought this product because they had it on sale for $35. it is neat but unfortunately does not work well as an Apple PHOTOS extension. It will allow you to adjust your pictures but then will not allow you to save them to PHOTOS or anywhere else. To use the product and save the results you have to export your photos to a folder on your desktop or to PICTURES and then process them with PhotoLemur3 then export them back to PICTURES. It will not export to SMUGMUG. It is supposed to do that but it does not play well with SMUGMUG and I have never been able to export a picture to my SMUGMUG account. So if you get it for $35 dollars and are willing to add a bunch of steps to get your pictures into it, processed, and then back to PHOTOS, it might work for you. I had hoped PhotoLemur3 would automate correcting my photos and allow me to speed up the process of turning out better pictures. But, it actually slows the process down significantly because of all the manipulations required to use it with P{HOTOS: import photos to PHOTOS from your camera or digital storage, export photos from PHOTOS to PICTURES (or another folder), then import them to PhotoLemur3, then process them in PhotoLemur3, then export them to PICTURES (or another folder) and then reimport them to PHOTOS.After I bought this product and discovered this problem I went on their website for support. There is NO SUPPORT. You can access a FAQ and that is it. They have a very flashy support page but absolutely no way to connect with anyone for support. In the FAQ I discovered that this problem was reported to them over a year ago. The company responded to the request for help by saying that they were aware of the problem but had decided not to address it because they were too busy working on LuminarAI. Basically blew the guy off. Needless to say, they lost that customer. I have been using Luminar4 and pre-ordered LuminarAI. I will see how it works. I guess I should have known that a $35 piece of software couldn't be expected to work all that well. I have been fairly happy with Luminar4, but I will probably not get much use out of PhotoLemur3. The company would have been better off just taking it off the4 market if they are not going to support it. I am sure they have a bunch of Apple PHOTOS users who will never trust their products after the way they handled PhotoLemur3. If they don't do a better job supporting their Luminar products, I wouldn't expect them to survive long term.In summary, PhotoLemur3 works fairly well but not as a PHOTOS extension. If I had the option, I would not buy it again. ADD: In all fairness, I did get an email from this company that provided a workaround for the inability to save in PHOTOS issue. It was similar to the steps as outlined above. So, I do need to retract the part of my complaint about absolutely no support. I will still say that I think that their Luminar program is a better deal and it seems to be where they are focusing their efforts.

This is a very reasonably priced application for what it does. Quick and simple to use. Enhances photos greatly, improves color and sharpness and for 90% of the photos I have run through this application, does the job. I have read 1/2 star reviews and believe they don't represent this application well. It has some limitations on poorly shot and lit images or extensive editing needs, but there are much more expensive, less user friendly editing programs. Photolemur is a good application to have along with Photoshop or similar package.
