Very well made. Oh most too simple
This product is pretty cool. It works just as it says. The quality and simplicity really really surprised me. It’s a very well made product. The thing I liked the most was that the cover plate and box are all together. So only one step once you get the hole cut and the wires hooked up. The hardest part for me was getting the cover on the back that protects the connections. I used this kit to install a 50 inch tv on a swivel mount above a gas fire place. The nearest out was about 15 feet away and on an exterior wall. So I was able to just go threw the chase and exit it out on the side. Worked pretty damn slick. I would buy this kit all day and again and again. The instructions are on the product it’s self. When researching this product I didn’t see a lot of pictures on installing the kit so I decided to add probably way to many pictures so anyone looking can see how it works and how easy it can be. I bought the double outlet kit even though I didn’t really need it, but if I’m going threw the trouble of doing this then why not. Hope this review helps

A great product with everything in one box.
This makes the installation of that accessory outlet next to the TV on the wall a relatively easy to install option. Not for the absolute novice, but with some common sense and patience, almost anyone could install this outlet.Best Buy told me that it was against code to do this...which is wrong and I'm not certain what code they are talking about. But, this is why you don't ask an electronics store salesman information about electrical extensions. This is really nothing more than a sophisticated extension cord that is hard wired to the existing outlet. Everything you need, except for the cutting tools and screwdrivers is in the box. And, like I said, with patience and care, anyone can do it.Three words of advice.1.) Use a stud finder and confirm that you are not trying to put the box at a stud location. Most studs are next to the bottom outlet. Just go to one side of the outlet.2.) Confirm there are no air vents or possible pipes between the bottom outlet and the new outlet near the TV. Although it is unusual, I have hit a repositioned air vent that someone moved during a remodel.3.) Make certain you turn off the power to the outlet before hooking it up. Hot wiring is not a good idea.

Very pleased. I'll use this in all future installs when I have access to open walls
Hugely happy with this. I had an electrician running wires, and he was going to put a regular outlet behind the TV, but I much prefer that I was able to use this to get one quality surge protector for the TV as well as all of the other components in the system, in one spot far away from the TV. I don't like the "flat panel" surge protectors when they work, as I question their quality, and when they trip you have to pull the TV off of the wall. No thanks. If you buy a cheap TV, maybe that's not a concern, but I like to buy the best TV which will last a long time, as opposed to the cheap ones that you replace every handful of years. (I have a Pioneer Elite Plasma that's over a decade old, and still gives a better picture than most anything on the market. I expect the LG 4K OLED that I just bought to do the same for quite some time.) To those who don't know what this is, just picture it as a multi piece extension cord that can run through the wall to get your TV plugged in elsewhere.

Gets the job done but requires a bit of work
Overall a good product. It is not a major issue but connecting the romex to each receptacle is a bit wonky. If you are good with your hands and have done electrical work it's not really an issue, but expect to spend several minutes on each receptacle to get the wires (3) securely terminated and the romex locked down in place per the installation instructions. In my case I had to use a 4" makita angle grinder with a diamond blade to remove metal from the TV wall bracket to accomodate the size of the box. As for cutting holes in the drywall the templates are a reasonably study card board. I used thumbtacks to hold it in place, check level, then trace the line. A $5 drywall saw makes the cuts very easy. The self locking mechanism worked very well on turning the set screws and secured the receptacles nicely against the wall and provided a very nice professional look. I'd definitely suggest you test the romex connections before buttoning it up to the wall just be sure you have a solid 120V connection. The upper receptacle does have an LED that turns on when power is present so that is a nice touch. One huge benefit of this product is that you can surge protect your TV (as opposed to direct wiring a 120V).

Best 1 gang media & power solution
I had a very hard time finding a media & power solution that would fit one standard gang plate. This was the best one I could find and it didnt let me down. I bought the one with 12 ft of power wire, but other lengths may be available. Power wiring to each outlet was as easy and sturdy as possible. The power cord sticks up or down depending on how you orient the plastic cover on the electrical connection, which may or may not be behind the opening for feeding media cables through. Securing the whole outlet to using the screw & clamp method was decent.I dont draw lots of power since I'm only powering a soundbar, but it works great and very sturdy, as the electrical wire was not flimsy or skimped on.

A little tricky to wire, but good overall
This worked out nicely for my needs. I originally tried their pre-wired product, but that connection is too thick and I couldn’t pull it through my wall. This product is just Romex wire, so it was easier to pull through. The wiring to the boxes is ok, not the easiest to assemble, but not too bad. I do wish they could make that part easier, like by making it so the romex connects to adapter instead of wiring directly to the unit. The LED lights on both boxes don’t work, but the unit does work and the lights don’t do anything anyway. All in all, it works well for my needs.

So easy anyone can do this!
It literally took 20 minutes to do and that included pulling the tv off and back on the wall. It is so simple you almost feel silly that you did not come up with it yourself. I had talked to my painter and he said he could do this for $250-300 so I saved a ton of money on this. One of the best purchases I have ever made on Amazon
