Whiteside #404 4 Piece Compact Router Bit Set, 1/4" Shank

You don’t know what your missing until you use some quality router bits like these Whiteside bits. I have bought cheap bits on Amazon and they work but don’t last long. I usually use Fraud for my quality cutting bits but let me tell you these bits are great.

This review is not about how the router bits performed, rather it is more about how rough shipping can be sometimes -- and how Whiteside protects their bits from that.When I first opened my package my heart sank a little bit because the 4 piece router bit set's bits were all loose and rattling around their case. I thought "great, I wonder how nicked all of the edges are? " Well I forgot that Whiteside is actually a fairly premium bit and was delighted to see that they were fully protected by a thick waxy protective coating. This is the coating that is on my Freud bits when I buy them too.In the pictures you can that the shipping was so rough that the foam insert had mostly popped out! I'm really surprised that the case survived. Coating saved the day for the bits. Thank you Whiteside for thinking ahead.

Well machined. The only negative is the really cheap case they shipped in, the bits were loos in the packaging.

If you are like me you will look at the negative reviews to see what is the common problem, but as for this customer I have none. The bits work as advertised.

When you pay more you expect to get more and that seems to hold true for these bits.

I think these bits are quality for the money in comparison.

These bits are some of the best around. Using for multiple woodworking builds and great cut and performance every time.
