I highly recommend these bulbs. When I bought the BR30 LED bulbs in our kitchen several years ago (2017) the brightest 2700K bulbs I could find were 85W equivalent/1100 lumens/CRI=80. I've always been dissatisfied with the amount of light and it was probably compounded by our 10" ceiling. So glad I found these bulbs, they are bright and dim nicely if you want less light and good color rendering. Some reviews complained about DOA bulbs but I tested all 4 and they're all fine. By the way, if you need automotive bulbs try to buy Philips instead of Sylvania, they will last a lot longer.

The warm glow effect of the Philips bulbs are what has been missing from LED bulbs for a long time. They provide great quality light at full brightness and warm lighting when dimmed, unlike most LED’s. They are absolutely flicker and noise free across the dimming range. And unlike some LED bulbs, they do not “creak” when they turn on and turn off due to what little thermal expansion these bulbs see.

I recently purchased the PHILIPS LED Flicker-Free High Lumen BR30 bulbs, and I couldn't be happier! These bulbs provide incredibly bright and consistent lighting, making my space feel more vibrant and welcoming. I was wary, having bought other BR30 style LEDs, but this is the real deal. It says it works with leading edge dimmers (the kind that dimmable LEDs typically don't work well with) and it does. Full brightness is great for my wife working crafts in the family room and the dim is low enough not to disturb her if I leave our bedroom door open while I'm waking up in the morning. No flicker at all. Well worth the price.

With a standard leading-edge wall switch triac dimmer I was able to dim to 0% without any visible flicker. I was quite impressed and was not expecting this. However, with a leading-edge SCR (theatrical) dimmer, I was only able to dim to about 5% before the lamp began to flicker. However, even that was better than I was expecting. No irritating noise. When at full brightness, I would have preferred the color temp to be 3000K instead of 2700K, but when dimmed it warms to 2200K which imitates incandescent performance quite well. Still looking for a lamp that will dim to dark (0%) with a leading edge SCR dimmer.

We bought these to replace our incandescent BT30's in our family room recessed cans. We dim them every night when we say our family evening prayers along side some candlelight. They sort of work but not really. At full brightness the color still does not match incandescent well. There is a slight tinge to the color suggestive of mercury vapor lighting, probably due to the the CR index not being high enough. As they dim they do get warmer, but not warm enough. 2200K doesn't really match the low end of incandescent which is probably between 1800K and 2000K. Worst of all, at their dimmest they loose their warmth all together and the light turns grey (a very dim 4000K maybe?) Right in their mid-range is a sweet spot where they are decently warm and color reproduction seems good, but that's about it in my experience.

Several of these began flickering not long after install, so we tossed them all and installed Feit bulbs

I installed a dimmer switch in my family room to control the recessed ceiling fixtures (can lights) and ordered these lightbulbs based on their description of no flickering or operational problems at low light settings. I ordered the 100 watt equivalent 2700K. Very nice! They don’t flicker and at the lowest range they are a deeply warm color. When fully on they are bright but have a natural color similar to incandescent. I will buy them again.
