Perfect EDC Fixed Blade for those who prefer to scout carry!!!
Simply awesome design!! No idea how Kizer did it, but they managed to make a perfect EDC fixed blade knife, that comes with its own “scout carry” molded sheath; which creates the perfect retention that one does not need to worry about this knife falling off, falling out of its sheath for no reason, or any of the above. The sheath has great retention,& the 1st time I was wearing the knife, I was riding my Electric Skateboard & somehow managed to hit an area of sidewalk (of which I’ve been up,& down 100’s of times in the past), which had a 4” gap cut out of it by come construction crew, who failed to put a warning sign, or anything letting anyone know about the missing sidewalk. So to hit that huge gap going 23-25mph on an Electric Skateboard, & then end up flying through the air & hitting the pavement in a horrible position. That cut away sidewalk gap caused my board to stop dead in its tracks,& I flew a good 20 feet,& I landed flat on my stomach somehow. With this mounted on the front of my belt, even the slide,& impact of that fall didn’t move the knife, nor did it force the knife out of its sheath. The knife handle actually prevented nasty road rash,& worse damage to my body, as the end of the handle somehow took the brunt of the impact from the sidewalk. The end of the handle got slightly scraped up, but I’d prefer that as opposed to having road rash up my whole stomach, etc. One can hardly notice the micarta handle has a “pavement slide” mark on it at all. The fact that this knife didn’t fly off of me from the forces of that impact & pressures that the overall fall created amazed me. I’ve had several other fixed blade knives that have fallen off of me,& some have almost gone through my legs (when I’ve fallen off of other Skateboard’s, esp. when downhill riding years back). The handled this knife is the perfect length for my hand,& I’ve got some pretty oddly shaped hands. I’ve got huge palms, skinny, but long fingers. The handle is super comfy, yet also not crazy long to make this knife stand out as one wears it. It’s easily concealed,& perfect for self defense,& all desired uses. One key feature in the knife has to do with the top part of the blade ( the “choil” I believe?), which can also be utilized to choke up on the knife for specific uses, such as feathering wood, in order to make a fire, etc.The knife is an absolute prefect “all around” knife. It arrived sharper than all of my Pro-Tech,Spyderco,& Benchmade knives. It is still razor sharp after having been used for well over 300 times over the past 12 days,& has been used for every cutting purpose (opening Amazon boxes, cooking, meal prep, etc). This would make an excellent camping/survival knife if one is looking for an all around use knife, that is insanely sharp. Exceptional knife for any “self defense” applications. In the end, I will definitely be buying a few more of these for Xmas gifts for friends, & family.

Harpoon happy!
This knife has excellent build quality and is a lot of knife for the money. It came shaving sharp and included a real kydex sheath. It has good weight to it and doesn't feel cheap. Definitely a keeper if you like to have an edc knife. I installed an ulticlip and it fits perfect for pocket carry. Fully recommend it!

Perfect EDC fixed blade
Perfect EDC: small, lightweight, extremely useful/functional/versatile design, excellent materials (3V steel, grippy micarta scales, and kydex sheath), and not too expensive. It really is my new favorite. I've carried it since I got it, and it's been a joy to use.

Knife is awesome...Sheath sucks
The knife is well made and holds an edge! The sheath is too loose inside allowing the blade to rattle around, and damage the edge. I make kydex holsters and sheathes so it is not a big issue for me, but if you're not able to make your own it's an issue. Still a great value for the blade you're getting...

2nd time around is 'full joy'!
no detent at all! seller said to get to try a heat gun and work with it maybe, but that didn't work.a person needs the proper tools to work with kydex, and i dont have them. If i were setup to build kydex sheaths myself I think id buy the blade I want then build my own sheath for it. A foldover sheath just like this one, but with a real strong detent for sure. The the foldover/taco style sheath is what pushed me to choose this knife in the first place. But its... its just not too good this time.I gave it two stars as a really like the knife. It's a big bummer. I must have the worst luck! guess it has to go back. Now the choice; try a second one or try something different? all the looking done for what i wanted this was closest choice. i guess we'll try one more time. what a drag!UPDATE 07JUN2022:I got a replacement.WOW! totally awesome! up'd the rating to 5 stars . This knife snaps into the kydex just the way you'd hope for. Very happy now. Not sure why some say its small, maybe they have bigger hands than mine? I wear a large work glove.I’m wondering if that last one was someone’s return that got mixed in with new as the two items were in differing conditions inside the box. But that doesn’t really matter as this replacement is everything I’d hoped it was to be when I’d initially chose it.This is perfect size and weight for an EDC fixed blade. I love it!I still wish it was 1095hc though. But D2 is much better than plain ole' stainless steel (imo).UPDATE MARCH15, 2023;I love mine so much i bought one for my little brother. I checked it, bevels are perfect, and sharp. And the kydex sheath detent is completely tight and perfect. My brother was happy with his birthday present!

Great EDC for the price
Pros: materials - 3V steel, Ultem scales, slicey geometry, lightweightI carry fixed blades daily under 6.5 inches total length. This is a 3V blade added to my collection. I always put a 20 degree edge on my daily carry knives. Out of the box, this thing was sharp. Not quite splitting hairs but very slicey. Love the full flat grind and sharp harpoon point. The geometry of the knife reminds me of a camping food prep knife. Handle material is awesome.Cons: thinner than I like, could use thumb jimping, sheath (personal preference)I carry horizontal (scout carry) all my EDCs. Typically I have leather sheaths made for each. The sheath this comes with is just a back up for me - I don't particularly care for the faux-carbon fiber design. The blade thickness is a bit of a concern - I hope Kizer got the heat treat right so I don't break the tip off.Overall this is a great value for the money. My only recommendation to Kizer is don't go overboard with the packaging - the added stuff can be cool and fun for amateur knife enthusiasts, but actual users will find it useless. Focus more on sheath options and knives used as daily tools. More versatility as opposed to niche knives
