Excellent MIDI Controller
A superb MIDI controller and sequencer for music creation. Works well with MuseScore 4 and Ableton Live. Solidly built, well laid out. Highly recommended and good value for money.

Highly recommended.
This is a great little master keyboard for live, travelling or small studios. The keys are the best mini size keys I have ever played, they have good travel and don’t feel like toys. The synth controlling features all work well - controlling external analogue synths or Eurorack from this is a real pleasure. highly recommended

Swiss Army Knife of Midi Keyboards.
I was never a fan of small keyboard until I bought the Arturia Keystep 37. It’s a quality keyboard that’s very playable. This keyboard is like the swiss army knife of midi keyboards. Whatever you connect it to, it works. It’s also quite robust too. It also works well with ipads and iphones. Highly recommended.

A different league to others
In a different league that other midi keyboard. The Keystep has to be the leader in the market place and it is easy to see why. The build standard is second to none. 8 memory 64 step sequencer including step and gull chord, ARP with 8 settings, 8 time setting up 32 tribbles. CV outs, Gate pitch & mod. Midi In, Out, Through. Do not be put of by the price this is worth ever penny and more.

Great unit - a couple of very awkward features
This is a great little keyboard and very versatile. Build quality is excellent and the keyboard is good even though it is "mini keys" it doesn't feel spongey or cheap. Overall the UI is good and the things you will want to change regularly are easily accessible with SHIFT + labelled keyboard keys. It is reasonably intuitive for the main things like midi channel and arpeggiator/sequencer modes. The sequencer is a 64 step one with 8 sequences storable on the unit and as many as you like saved/loaded via the Windows/Mac support software. The sequencer is obviously meant as a quick scratch pad for bass lines etc rather than a fully fledged hardware sequencer, which is fine. However, there are a couple of very frustrating issues with the way the sequencer works which could have been very easily fixed. In real-time sequencer record, there is no quick way to re-record a sequence if you make a mistake. With "overdub mode" switched off, the obvious thing would be to record over the pattern, completely replacing the previous version. What actually happens is that it only replaces notes that are actually played, and leaves any old notes that you don't play over in the sequence. Therefore, if you try to re-record the sequence, old notes (i.e. timing mistakes) are not removed and it is a complete mess. This means you have to manually clear the pattern before re-attempting it. There is no single function for this and you have to delete a step at a time, then re-enter the sequence length every time you want to re-try. A simple "replace", like recording over on a tape recorder would be immeasurably quicker and simpler. On the step time record, there is no edit function except to delete the last note of the sequence. Roland's TB-03 allows you to scroll through the steps in a sequence with a knob. it shows the step number and sounds the notes as you pass them. You can replace the step with different note, rest or tie. This makes it extremely easy to spot and correct mistakes. A similar function on the Keystep 37 could have been implemented with the shift key and the rate knob. Without it the step mode is OK for very short sequences but pretty cumbersome otherwise, unless you are just stuffing in random notes to see what happens. Overall, a great product but the sequencer is limited by a couple of basic issues that make it unnecessarily annoying to use.

Stylish, feels great, plays fine
I wasn't really looking for the sequencing features that this keyboard offers, and would have preferred some additional knobs instead. Infinity knobs would also have been preferable to these traditional ones. But this keyboard had the overall simplicity that I was after which I why I chose it. I must say that it looks absolutely gorgeous. And the small size keys have a great feel to them. It doesn't feel cheap like some smaller keyboards. The Arturia software is great but the starter licence that comes with this keyboard is quite expensive to upgrade. I had never owned Arturia before but this really opened my eyes to them as a serious contender and I now happily own other Arturia software and hardware, and I will certainly consider buying them again when I need more serious hobby equipment (toys).

Works great out of the box.
Works great. Build quality solid. Nice keyboard action. Great arpeggiator and sequencer. Arturia are a quality brand.

This thing is incredible! The build quality is killer. Thick plastic on a steel plated bottom gives it the feel and weight of high end equipment. The keys legitimately feel like real piano keys and the knobs/buttons have a good feel/resistance. Let me tell you how good it feels going from a 25 to 37 keys. No more fiddling with the octave buttons every time you use it. The height of the keyboard is perfect if you plan to keep it on your desktop too. It has a built in sequencer, arpeggiator, chord progressor and transport controls that works with any DAW. Tons of ports and clock functions! It will connect and play nice with almost anything you throw at it. Also: It has a power switch. Those still exist and I'm here for it. Don't wast your time on those cheapo "mini" keyboards. They feel bad, are too tall to sit on your desk comfortably and don't have the necessary ports should you choose to play with synths, samplers and grooveboxes . Spend the extra pennies to get what you really want.
