Worked well
These rolls are awesome. I mixed 5 shovels concrete sand mix to 1 shovel of Portland cement. Control lines every 4ft and used a rounded corner trowel along the entire edge. As a release agent I used corn oil in a spray bottle. WAY CHEAPER I used one hand with decent pressure on the roller and another hand to keep a constant spray on the roller. This is key or else the cement will start to stick onto the roll. You want the cement to be kinda dry not too wet in order for the cement to hold the wood grain pattern. I did the control lines and edges then waited about 1 hour to start rolling. The temp was 85-90 degrees out so ya. By the way this is the first time I ever did this so anyone can do it

Hardest part is figuring when to roll.
Adds nice texture but hard to do larger areas. Did this on area by my greenhouse. Colored with 2 colors of acid stain.

In truth I have to say that I have not used these particular rollers yet. I WILL be using them soon, as I am planning to create the effect of my house being built around a tree in the living room. That being said... I have ordered and actually used many of SBC's texture rollers and stamps. I am a decorative concrete artist. I have looked for and at just about every texture roller and skin out there and have bought some from the competition.. There is very little in terms of variety, i.e. wood, stone etc. I have had great success with SBC's tools. Also, their support is outstanding. When these tools are made, they are rigidly tested before market.You cannot go wrong with SBC. Also, I have had many conversations with one of the owners and they have a fantastic training program, either online or in person. If you want to learn about concrete textures and effects I highly recommend them.I have been dealing with Amazon for many years as well and for me, Amazon is a safe haven for online shoppers and from my experience, they stand behind your purchases as does SBC....I can't wait to use these rollers.
