Organization Could Be Better
Huge long lists of tables is not very useful. I would suggest summaries and indexes to make the book more useful.

Extraneous information and poorly constructed charts
If you're looking for the science of how the body works, it's fine. If you are someone who is new to healthy eating, it's fine.If you already have an understanding of healthy eating and you are looking for specific information, terrible resource.If you were looking for a proper index/chart for glycemic load as well as glycemic index not so great. Glycemic load information was limited and the "charts" are not designed for a quick reference. Basically, in order to find the glycemic load of something on the go, you would have to keep a calculator on you at all times which realistically no one has that kind of time. A waste of money in my opinion. The indexes are clearly thrown together and an afterthought.

Informative but clumsy to use
Admittedly I was looking for a resource to educate me about the GI. I was also looking for an index of foods I could look up. While almost every conceivable food is in the book they can also be difficult to find. Chapters list foods in that category but are divided in a manner that doesn’t always seem logical. I wish there we were index of foods to make them easier to find. I usually give up before finding what I’m looking for. I would recommend this book for educational purposes. I would not recommend this book if you want to look up GI food values.

This is a must-have weight loss guide! The organization is superb…the explanations so well written…do not hesitate to add this book to your collection!

Very extensive yet easy to follow guide
I know theres too much information out there whether it's from books or online, but I find this book up-to-date and easy to follow! There are extensive GI and GL of 4000+ foods, low GI shopping lists and details on meal planning. Definitely informative and ready to put in good use!

LOTS of great information
Info of this sort can be so confusing these days. One day X is terrible for you and the next X is the best thing since sliced bread. This book cuts through all the jargon and double talk and just gives you the information you can use to make smart choices. Great job by the author.
