It worked!
This item showed up quickly, I did have to drill out the hole where the factory bolt went to make it fit more easily, but using care it installed well and once I'd driven my 2012 Golf TDI for a bit the code went away and stayed gone! It was a good idea to include the spring in case of dropping, I read on YouTube that was a common problem, but I was lucky, I guess.

Works, but you will need to modify it.
Like several others have stated, it works fine after you modify it. The threaded hole on the bracket to attach the little plate is drilled off-center (this requires you to enlarge one of the two holes on the plate and to get the enlargement off center). Also, the other hole on the plate needs enlarged as well, as the dia of the long bolt to mount the motor is around 6.15mm, and these holes on the little plate are about 5.9mm in diameter. Both changes are relatively simple, but you could get this for $10 from other sellers) and you may not need to modify anything. Also, I used a blue loctite to attach the small plate to the bracket.

Easy install, cleared the error
Installed with no problem. Had to find a video online to make sure it was oriented correctly. Also, so glad it comes with a spare spring, as I lost the original one when trying to reinstall. The error cleared after about 10 minutes of driving.

Fixed the engine light.
I love products like this that are cheaper and override dumb expensive repairs that really only make the engine light go off and does not affect anything with drivability.

Got here Fast!
The engine light is finally off. But make sure your engine is Cold or your going to burn yourself! VW doesn't even offer this easy fix! Thank you!

worked on 2013 beetle tdi...extra spring was nice to have
4.5 rating ... had to drill out one of the holes to ~1/4" to fit VW bolt...not a problem. code went away and all works well extra spring was nice to have...especially after dropping original a little difficult to install due to limited space in motor/part area, VW issue, not product issue. well worth the savings over a new part

Works as it should
Fairly easy install. Inlarged the one hole as people state you have to do. Regen shut off after about 60 miles. Money well spent and cheap enuf.
