Saved Our Chair
We recently purchased a Rocking Chair from Ikea.A beautiful, well designed bent wood rocker that felt solid and comfortable. The seat is covered by a one piece cushion that attaches at the top and goes to the seat area. After putting it together and placing it in our Son's room, it lasted about 2 days.It seems at 135 lbs., the seat did not support his bottom, it broke and his posterior went through it.When we removed the cushion we discovered that one side of the Nylon seat was detached from the staples that were holding it and that some of the wood had broken off.Called Customer Service and they promised to replace the entire seat section that I knew would be easy to install. However, they said it would take about 7-10 days and/or we could return it later. We all liked the chair, so with nothing to lose, said send it.Not wanting to wait that long and a little dubious about the idea of a stapled in seat section at this point, thought that nylon webbing might be a better alternative.Checked Amazon and saw this black webbing for $8.00 that could be delivered in 2 days.Had to do very little to the chair, just removed the splintered section which left about half of the original width and removed the staples from the other side and the actual flat nylon seat came right out.Thinking that this very popular chair had a piece of wood that was defective and was the cause of the loose staples, was a little concerned that even if the webbing was strong, the remaining wood would not be supportive. The 10 yards of webbing simply wrapped around the frame in about five minutes.I then, at over 200lbs. carefully lowered myself.Nothing gave way, started rocking, all was good.Gave it back to my 13 year old who rocks all day and its still fine. The replacement seat assembly arrived about a week latter, that was 5 weeks ago, and its still in a closet. This Nylon webbing from Horno is easy to use and utilize, inexpensive, and is much stronger than the original stapled in seat and because it goes around the OUTSIDE of the frame, thus has far more support, even with some wood missing on one side. Are you paying attention Ikea?

A great value
Pretty thin--not heavy duty. About half as thick as a seatbelt strap. But for the price, I just doubled it for my project. A great value for the money, and it works.

Used this to fix a luggage rack, very pleased
Used this to fix a luggage rack that had fabric straps that died after, oh, 40 or 50 years. Check with me in 40 or 50 years for a further report.

Nice, but not what I was expecting...
Not what I would call "Heavy Duty" strapping although the quality is good. It is less than a millimeter thick according to my digital calipers. It is probably useful for outdoor lawn chair strapping or some such application. It is very soft and supple but I was looking for some much thicker material for ratcheting tie down use. This material would be nice for re-weaving outdoor furniture or something of that nature. It is almost soft enough to make a necktie... I was expecting something more like a diver's weight belt material that is 3-4 mm thick.

Worked perfectly!
Bought this roll to replace the old torn webbing in my vintage chair. I’ve had the chair for over 5 years but it was not functional due to the old webbing. Replaced all the webbing with this product, looks great, great value, webbing is strong. Happy to finally fix the chair before the holidays to offer another place for guests to sit.
