You'd never know it's a refurb, sounds great, looks new.

I recieved my Amazon renewed UE Megablast today. I was VERY concerned with the very large amount of bad reviews about the renewed product. Mine came brand new looking, not used looking at all. Clean, sounds perfect. Not blown. Brand new original charging cord. Instructions. The only thing not original was the packaging. No problem. The bad reviews I read mentioned it being dirty, speaker blown, wouldn't connect, low battery life, sound was off, ect. I have none of these issues. I believe the issue lies with the companies that referbish/renew the product, and their commitment to doing so properly. I checked each company's reviews, and recieved/went with mine from Crown Products, at a price of $63.85. Very good reviews, and even with issues, the company promptly helped resolve the issue, to the satisfaction of the customer. In the case of occasional shipping issues, Amazon handles that. They do the shipping. Not the individual companies fault. Another great reviewed company was I-tech. I'm sure their are others too, but I felt pretty safe with either of these. I would've bought new, but money was an issue. This is my husbands birthday present, so I'm so happy how this turned out. Also, my son tested the speaker and set up for me. He used to have the same speaker he had bought new, and he noticed no differences. I'm not positive on battery life, because we've only had it just today. I will update if there's an issue.

I am a UPS Delivery Driver. I purchased the UE Megaboom after a lot of comparisons between other speakers. I ended up choosing the Megaboom due to the claims of high volume and long battery life.I required a speaker that would be loud enough to hear over our noisy diesel trucks and the Megaboom certainly meets that requirement. The only time it gets drowned out is if I'm running down the highway. Many people have commented on how surprised they were at the output of this device.I also wanted a speaker that would last through the work day as they can be as long as 14 hours. This is where the Megaboom fell short for my needs. I understand that at higher volumes I wouldn't get the claimed 20 hour life but I figured half that figure would be more accurate. I'm lucky to get six hours out of my unit at 70-100% volume levels. This has been my biggest disappointment.Overall I am very impressed with the aesthetics, the volume output, and the build quality. The battery life leaves me wanting more... but with all of the other great things I'd still give the Megaboom 4 stars.I'd also like to add that my refurbished unit came in retail packaging with a charger.

UPDATE AS 27/03/2020:It doesn’t charge no more. Waste of money, 2 out of 5 speakers work no more. I WANT A REFUND!The 1st one I get it from a BestBuy, brand new. Zero problems, besides the battery life after 4 months (two-three hours per week) of use is at 80% at its best compared to those days when new. For me, this is a quick reduction of battery life...maybe Im wrong and being to judgmental after the sad experiences of the other units purchased.Then I decided to give a shot to the "renewed" version because of the price and the fact I had then doubts about the battery life. This ones was ordered also in black charcoal color to match the 1st one. That was like 1 month a go to pair it with the first one trough Megaboom App to have a "stereo" mode and it was awesome!, then ....mixed emotions.That first "renewed" one came with one of the outter plastic layer kind of unglued, since its a refurbished item I didn't pay that much attention while being in love with the sound quality of the pair of speakers linked to stereo mode. Due to the sound good experience (Good mid, clear voices, treble...nice bass not yet rich-deep but pretty decent mostly because doesn't distort at high volume) So I decided to purchase two more and use them 4 at at time expecting to enjoy them in low to mid volume in stereo mode, a week ago and prior to their arrival I had ordered a 5th one as a gift to a friend.Boomer. The third one came really dirty, worn plastic no matter what its the only one the "QC PASS" sticker I assume refers "Quality Control". After a week of use, the main plastic layer is clearly apart. Not to mention I have zero trust in the "waterproof feature".The Blue one came in better acceptable shape. The last Charcoal came as a survivor of a child mess experimenting with glue. Finger prints and something like grease was present, something not good to see.The last one also in blue color was also clean but...the battery life its lower than the older one compared to all of the rest while fully charged no matter what is the newest one. So, not happy.And finally, I supposed this is a feature I surely get know if a better research was done but now I got them meet that yes, you can set up 5 or more (I understand you can broadcast to 150 at once) but just two of them in stereo mode. So my purpose of having 4 in stereo mode wasn't achieved.Sad.

For the price I paid I say it’s 100% worth it.I was scared getting a refurbished/renewed one because I didn’t know what I was getting, but when I opened the box it came out looking like it was brand new and smelled new as well! This is by far the loudest speaker I’ve ever had, I can’t say anything bad about those product as well and within the next month I’m about to order 2 more air separate rooms to see if I can pair them.Pros: Sound quality is freaking amazing and I make sure I play it on loud to see if the speakers will blow(which they have not) and I’ve had it for 5 months now. Battery life is Amazing! Connectivity is amazing too I can be in two rooms away and it still be connected and continuously play without interference. I haven’t tried the water resistance portion of it yet due to me only having one speaker at the moment but I’ve seen videos of people playing with them in the pool.Cons: None!

Works great. Did arrive with a small indent on the side of it (fingerprint size). Was going to return it but figured for the savings I can deal with a small barely noticeable indent. I bought it as a second one to power up with my first mega boom while enjoying my pool this summer. This refurbished speaker works just as good as my new one and was wayyyy cheaper

battery is not working so well ...giving me some issues like low battery life and this item is in warranty..! i buy it on 8th oct help me in getting out of this..this thine creating so issues while im using it

not sure why is was refurbished but it works great.
