OXO SteeL Ice Cream Scoop

Great functionality. Not quite as robust and solid feeling as the KitchenAid scoop without the release feature, but the riveted release mechanism seems to be well-constructed. There is plenty of play in the scoop ejector so it really pushes the ice cream off the scoop. I've had some of these ejector scoops in the past where the ejector wasn't strong enough to always eject the scoop. This one has no problem with it.

This scooper with the ejection lever works very well for many things, like mashed pototoes, ice cream and stuff that is not too sticky. If cookie dough is very sticky, one might want to use the type of scoop with the rotating band that slides across the inside. I have both types. The quality feels very good. It looks nice. It is easy to use.

My previous ice cream scoop was hard to keep clean and eventually started rusting after losing one of its tiny bolts. Oxo has solved my scooping woes! This is a sturdy scoop that has a good grip. The release is easy and the design doesn't trap water when I clean it in my dishwasher. Can you love an ice cream scoop? Then I do!

It’s great. Easy to scoop even the hardest ice cream. Ice cream comes out with a push of the lever. Very easy to clean. We put it in the dishwasher but cleans well by hand too. Very sturdy and should last for many years.

My father worked as a "soda jerk" when he was in high school and he taught me the trick of dipping the scooper in a glass of water so that the ice scoops fall out more easily. I find this one works well but after the first scoop, the other ones tend to stick and the the little push from the lever isn't enough to get the ice cream free. It's comfortable, easy to use, and makes nicely shaped scoops. If you were looking to buy it just because of the lever you might be able to get do with a glass of water when you scoop.

Dippers with the small wire always break. Dippers with no wire require a finger or tool to get the ice crem out. This one is awesome! The scoop is thin (but sturdy) enough to cut into the ice cream. And the push button pushes it out. Wonderful!!!

They is nothing to not like about this ice cream scooper, it is by far the best one on the market! I have used and owned many through the years and nothing can top this one. It is worth the money.

Great little scoop that's different from ones I've had in the past (that had a part that swooped from side to side like a windshield wiper). This one has push-out lever on the bottom. Would it work? Would it be easy to clean? YES AND YES. Love it!

This is a nice sturdy scoop. Our freezer is near absolute zero and the ice cream gets very hard, but this has a nice wide handle and is very sturdy. The edges of the scoop are thin and make it easier to scoop, and the release mechanism works perfectly. I looked at fancy ergonomic scoops but they cost a fortune and had no release mechanism. I’m happy I saved my money and got this. I believe it is the last scoop I’ll ever need to buy.

A wonderful product. Have tried the simple one and the trigger scoop from Oxo. This one releases the scoop with one press and faster. Cleaning however, not the easiest due to surface area of the bottom covered by lever. Still love it either way. Edit: I use it to make falafel shapes too. Works like a charm!

À la recherche d’une cuillère à glace plus résistante que celles que l’on trouve en supermarché, je ne suis pas déçu ! La poignée est agréable en main pour creuser dans la glace avec force parfois. La cuillère est assez fine pour creuser efficacement et le système de démoulage convaincant. Très bien !
