Teva women's sandal Teva is an authentic icon in the outdoor industry. Founded in the early 1980's by a Colorado River guide, Teva pioneered the sport-sandal category. Questioning Authenticity of these Sandals
I ordered the "Mix Black on Black" flip-flops in a size 6. I do not believe these are legitimate Tevas. Please reference the attached photos to see differences in the "Teva" tag (no handprint, no copyright symbol, cloth versus rubber) and the stamp on the footbed (it does not look at ALL like the Amazon photo or my previous pair). Sure, labels can change...but labels, materials, and fit? Suspicious. I bought a legitimate pair of these from a brick and mortar shoe store two years ago, and they are about 1/2 a size longer than the pair I just received from Amazon Prime. These "Tevas" are comfortable, but they look like they are made out of cheaper materials, and my foot BARELY fits in them. Very disappointed. :(

Teva-ish? Not as pictured with Trademark or logo
As another reviewer demonstrated by picture & comment, the trademark and logos are not the same, as in the advertisement or product pictures. I've compared them myself, and I attached a picture of 2 different strap colors that I ordered to show the difference. As she also commented, they are not the same quality as previous Olowahu's from the past, which were nicer in feel and lasted a long time. I haven't seen anything on the sell page where Teva addresses the question that these are actually theirs and just a change they decided on. Interestingly, each sandal came from a different Amazon store vendor. The advertising picture shows the Teva hand logo on the strap and the Teva spiral on the footbed. On the slippers I received, these trademark symbols are not there. Also, I wear size 7 mediums in most slippers and flip flops, and my feet are borderline wide. I tried size 7 & 8, and 8 fits well and looks best on my feet. Size 7 straps were tight and required effort to put on. For flip flop type of slippers, it shouldn't be a chore to put on. I am returning them. If they are knock-offs or pseudo-Teva's, and a red flag did come up in my head, I would prefer a real bargain, because, even if they look good and feel comfortable now, I wouldn't know if they would last a week or a month, color my feet, or fall apart in water. Real Teva's don't. The ones in my closet are 10 and 20 years old and still look and feel great, even after long kayak and camp trips. I gave 2 stars because they felt comfortable and looked nice on my feet when I tried them on for 10 minutes. Afterwards, I went to Teva's website, and looked at the exact same slippers. They all have the Registered Trademark "R" by the Teva label on the straps, while the slippers I received, do not.

I don't think these are legit
I bought this pair of sandals to replace my favorite pair that are sadly dying after many years of use. I'm fairly certain that what arrived are not legit Teva brand. The Teva label is different from all of the other Tevas I've had, and the logo on the heel is just lightly cut into the material rather than a stamped medallion (see my old pair on the bottom of the picture, and the shoe that arrived today on top). The fit is different too (these are awfully tight, although to be fair I'm used to my well-worn, broken in pair). They're just a bit "off," but the price is almost the same as buying directly from the brand's website. I'm not going to bother to return these, but I'll likely order a legit pair from the brand website and consider this a lesson learned.

Cute, trendy, durable
I absolutely love my Teva flip flops. I liked this pair so much, I bought two more in different colors! These sandals are very comfortable, and in my opinion, they run true to size. I've also been able to wear them for hours at a time without any discomfort. I decided to buy these after I saw a friend wearing them and she told me she found them on Amazon. The foam is sturdy and has lasted me all summer; I have no doubt that I'll still be wearing this pair next year! Very happy with this purchase.*Like most consumers, I rely heavily on product reviews when deciding whether or not to purchase an item online. This motivates me as a reviewer to give an unbiased and accurate review. Accurate reviews allow me to test a greater number of products, providing more companies and consumers with valuable feedback. I did not receive a discount on this item. If you have found my review helpful, please click “Yes”. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me!

What happened?
Edit: I looked at Teva's in local stores - none of the newer stock have the plastic "Mush" logo seen on the previous styles, so that is a new feature. I was wrong about sizing- should be the same.I have worn Teva's for awhile now - usually get a new pair every 2-4 years depending on how much I've worn them out. They've always been fantastic for walking around and light outdoors activity with their cushioned footbed. I'm super disappointed by this last pair I bought. It looks like the company may have decided to tank the quality. Comparing the flip flops I bought to my old pair I bought in 2015 shows a lot of differences (see pictures - old on the right). The footbed appears to be a different type of foam that is sparkly for some reason, rather than the dense matte foam previously used, which makes me suspect that the foot will make an impression a lot sooner and wear out a lot faster. I do like that the plastic label on the heel is no longer there, but it didn't bother me much in the first place. The sole tread is the same but has a weird fabric (?) to it. Looking at the Teva website, I see the Olowahu has the plastic heel logo but on the Mush Kalea, it has does have those different features, so I'm not sure whether this is a new design or maybe even a knockoff. Either way, buyer beware.

Perfects fit and Can wear for hours!
I bought these sandals after spraining my foot in a pair of Reef flip flops that only have the one strap. I needed a sandal that would stay on my foot, allow me to walk around for many hours, look cute, and support my huge arch. These shoes have it all! They are squishy and form to your foot which provides arch support. I have a wide, size 6 women's (US) foot, and the size 6 fits perfectly in these!Highly Recommend!

Sadly I can't wear now as too narrow
This design was one of my favourite ever pairs of shoes, and I was so excited to replace it with different coloured elastics. A size 4 or 4.5, I ordered size 5 to be sure of a fit as I have wide feet. I was unable even to get my foot inside as they have been redesigned and are now extremely narrow. I have returned them (which cost £4.45 in postage) and not yet found another shoe I like as much for its looks and function.

Way too small
I received these sandals very promptly and have no complaints regarding the service received, however i have had to return them as the sandals were very narrow and the length of the sandal was more like a size 8.5 rather than a size 10 as my foot hung over the back of them. Also the sole did not feel it would be as durable as I thought it would be, but on saying that I never actually got to use them to find out because of the fit.

Be very sure before you buy as you will have difficulty exchanging/returning from UK
These were very uncomfortable. The strap on the little toe cut in and then my little toe went the wrong side so the strap was between my toes. not a satisfactory fit at all. Now very disappointed as I cannot return them via the post office (who were extremely reluctant to take them and said they had never seen the accompanying customs sheet they were supposed to fill in before) without considerable expense (Air Mail to USA = over £10) or by courier at even greater expense which I don't know if I will get back. This was not made clear when I purchased them.

2nd pair, love them!
These sandals are great. They’re comfortable and more supportive than the average flip flop with cushioned soles and arch supports. I still have my old pair and wear in the garden, they’ve lasted 6 years, they actually mould to your feet. I have thin feet, my daughter is struggling with hers as she has wider feet. It’s worth persevering though as they do give.

Terrible shoes
Terrible! Don’t waste your money. Soles are like soft slippers and it feels like I need to take 5 steps to get ahead! No man!
