Don't get fooled by these expensive peanut butter jar lids any lid from off of a jif or even a generic peanut butter like great value peanut butter fits on a mason jar perfectly, some person found that out and are now selling these lids with mason jars at an astronomical price. Just thought people should know before they get fooled like me and everyone else who bought these...

I got these because I liked the fact that these were not the same shape as all the ones available in local stores. For their first use, I froze some soup in both of the jars and took them in my cooler to double as ice and then eventually dinner on a road trip. That all went according to plan. When it was time to come home, I filled them both to about 60% full with water and froze them to again use them as ice in my cooler. The next morning I pulled them out and set them in my cooler while I pulled out the rest of my food. Before I could even get anything else in the cooler one jar shattered. Nothing was touching it, and it wasn't over-filled. As far I can tell it broke just from exposure to (air-conditioned) room temperature air. That was literally the second time I used it. That left me with a block of ice partially enclosed in a jagged, broken bottle and glass all over. So... now I have one jar. It works fine, but I don't think I would have paid this price for one, and I don't know that I trust it enough to freeze anything in it.

Was frustrated once too often by needing a glass measuring cup, only to find they were being used to store liquids in the fridge. Found these as a “just right” solution. They hold about 1 1/2 cups liquid, what I usually make for salad dressings. I had no problem with leakage when I shook the dressings to blend (using the red plastic lid). For longer storage I’d probably use the metal lid & ring which came with them as well. Took some hunting to find these. Good buy.

These jars are perfect for preparing overnight breakfasts (such as Strawberry Shortcate Overnight Oats). They don't take up a lot of space in the refrigerator, have screw-on lids to guarantee freshness, and are easy to clean.

We were wanting something with a plastic screw on lid to shake up our vitamin drinks in the morning & these work perfect!!! These are also perfect for making a nice cold glass of chocolate milk or iced coffee!! Shake it up and drink it right out of the jar... (which is super cute)... and very convenient!

As the title suggests, I have been using these for overnight oats and they work great! So far no leaks!

I like the size and the fact that the I can use the plastic lid instead of the metal lid. I'm using these for leftover storage and they're great.

I bought these Mason jars to have on hand. I like the plastic lids as an option to the metal lids.
