LUCID 3 Inch Traditional Foam Mattress Topper - Plush - Hypoallergenic - Ventilated - Conforming Support

My wife and I thought that getting the most plush mattress would help us sleep better at night, but after a few weeks we noticed that we were waking up with back pain from sinking into the bed too much. After purchasing the Lucid mattress topper, we were impressed with the speedy shipping and delivery of the product. We selected the standard free shipping for 6-8 business day and it we got it in less than 48 hours. The topper came wrapped tight and included a blade to release the product without damaging it.It didn't take long for our sleep to vastly improve. The firmness level is just right in my opinion; not too firm or too plush. We have had memory form toppers before, and I think this product is more comfortable based on the fact that if you toss and turn like I do, there is no recovery from the spot from which you moved from.I've found no problem with this product and may buy another for our guest bed.

I took these pictures while opening the product and I’m extremely excited to use this topper. It came with clear instructions and even a letter opener to help open the package. It was so satisfying watching the air rush into the vacuum sealed bag and start expanding the foam, it made a sound it happened so quickly. The picture with the ruler was taken right after opening, within minutes it was almost at two inches. I’m letting it rise and air out for 48 hours, as the instructions advise but I totally laid on it right out of the box and it was nicer than my temperpedic mattress at my parents house!

I’ve had the same bed for over 15 years and my friend recommended me this topper to try as an option for extra support and comfort before I invest in a new bed. This is amazing! I have been sleeping so well and it’s a lot easier for me to fall asleep. Definitely getting better rest and I attribute it solely to this topper. We placed this in our older camper, to help make our bed more comfortable. The dining room seat cushions make up the bed we sleep in and have lost most of their resilience. I ordered this to add to our bed to help make up for the old seat cushions. It did help. I slept better and did not wake up nearly as sore as I had on previous trips before the new mattress topper. It was certainly an improvement. But it is not a cure all. In the end, I still need to replace the seat cushions.Here are a few observations: 1) It seems to attract dirt and shows it very easily. So, if you are going to use it like we did, as a portable topper, you make have to make a cover for it as we plan on doing. 2) It is a bit cumbersome to pack away. But, again it was not really intended to be portable. 3) I would describe the cushion as medium firm. I was looking for a firmer mattress topper, and this one is just about perfect in that regard.Bottom line, I am happy with this purchase.

This pad is the perfect solution to having a bed that is to firm. I couldn’t afford to purchase a new mattress so I bought this pad and I am so pleased with the turn out.

Very seldom do I leave a 5-star review. By itself, this Traditional foam topper will do what you need it to. Add comfort to an uncomfortable bed or make a bed on its own. Great to take camping as a ground pad. It is a medium grade foam that springs back to remove pressure points but you do not get the sinking feeling you get with memory foam. The pressure exerted remains constant and it springs back instantly when you move. Very little smell and what new smell there was dissipated in less than one day. The Matice Topper achieved full shape in a matter of minutes. But my purchase of this Topper was to create the perfect bed for my bad back and that I am pressure point sensitive. I removed my old Temperpedic Matrice. What a waste for $3000 and put down plywood for the foundation. For the bottom layer, I used this topper a 3-inch Lucid Traditional Foam Matrice Topper. I used the 3-inch because I weigh 220 lbs. If you weigh more go with the 4-inch topper for the bottom layer. For the Middle layer, I used the Lucid 3 Inch Memory Foam Gel Infused Matrice Topper also a 5-star product. Not to hard not to soft. For the top layer, I used the Lucid 1-inch Traditional Foam Matrice Topper. Adding the 1-inch traditional foam topper on top of the memory foam helps to remove the sinking feeling you get with memory foam but you still get the benefits of the memory foam body sculpting support. Again if you weigh more than I do you may want to go with the 2-inch Traditional Foam Topper. Then be sure to add a plush matrice cover to help remove some of the heat that can build up when you sleep on foam. What a beautiful feeling to wake up with no pain anywhere. All for right at $300. Do yourself a personal favor. Don't buy a bed that promises the world but does not deliver. Make your own bed a better bed for 1/10 the cost. I am a purchaser of these products and I did not get anything from Lucid to make this review. They produced a product that has given me back a great nights sleep. Thank you Lucid.

This mattress topper is just what I was looking for to use on my couch. With my bad back I can't sit for long in a chair so I lie on my couch. That space between the cushions was a real pain to conquer and pillows weren't working. This topper is perfect for bridging the space and it is thick enough to be comfortable.

I actually bought this to put on top of a twin size air mattress. Air mattresses are not necessarily known for being the most comfortable, but putting this topper on top really helps make it feel like a real bed! The price is great for this. It’s thick and easy to move but also stays put; doesn’t slide around the bed. I tried it out and didn’t want to get up. I took my time to use the 2" topper before writing the review. After a month of sleeping on it, I recommend buying, keeping a few things in mind and managing expectations. Firstly, yes, when it arrives it appears to be of the wrong size (looks shorter on both sides and compress-creased to the degree of appearing damaged at the bend spots - after it fully expands over a week, it reaches the right size and compression creases disappear as well, so do not fret if you see something like that). Secondly, it expands better and faster in the sun, so put in on the balcony or in the backyard after it arrives. Unfortunately, when it fully expands, it becomes bigger then the queen mattress, so a made bed never looks great. Thirdly, it does have a chemical smell when it comes - the smell was clearly discernible. I have multiple environmental sensitivities and couldn't use it for the first 3 days. After 3 days on the balcony in the sun I still could sense the smell but was OK to sleep on it. In the hindsight, if you can wait for a week before sleeping on it, you will be better off since it will expand fully. Now, if you are thinking about sleeping on the cloud, it is not that soft. It is not hard either, it is simply supportive. I tried the 2" natural latex topper of the softest variety before this traditional foam topper, and the latex was harder. I tried a memory foam topper that was softer but it simply created indentation of the body and do not offer the support and comfort for a long time (note: I am 200lbs on 5'3" pear shape frame). As any foam, the topper sleeps warm but this can be mitigated by a thin cotton pad or by putting several sheets over it. I personally use 5 sheets and it feels right:) I am using the topper on a 6 month old mattress that sagged after 3 months and caused me back pain (hence, I already tried the memory foam topper and the latex topper before I got this one). With this topper, I can sleep well again. Not sure how the foam will last, however, at this price point and usage rate I am confident that it will last long enough to justify the cost.

I purchased the king size ventiled foam topper. It's complete junk. It's so compressed that the ends never inflated to the 2 inch size after unwrapped. There are ridges in the places where it had been folded that also never came out after opening. Finally, it's not a consistent density throughout which defeats the purpose of it being used to add more comfort to a mattress.And of course, you can't discover any of these deficiencies until you open it, after which it's too large to put back in the box to return. So overall the quality of this product is super low and I would absolutely not recommend you purchase this.Luckily, Amazon, which has great customer service as usual, offered us a refund for this terrible product, even though we were unable to find a box big enough to ship it back in. Thanks Amazon! No thanks to Lucid who is manufacturing and selling a subpar product for a super inflated price.

Purchased to put on our pull our couch for guests. Had nothing but good reviews. Because it is memory foam it even folds down into the couch with ease. It fluffs back up in about 2 hours when you open it before use.

This exceeded my expectations. I was looking for a topper that wasn’t memory foam (because I find memory foam kind of “locks” my body into weird positions and hurts my back). This was the only “traditional” foam topper I could find and I was worried it would be thin or that it wouldn’t expand evenly from the vacuum packing, but it’s very thick and after leaving it to expand for 2 days it was perfect. It’s a little bit firmer than I wanted, but I have a herniated disc in my back and find that this really relieves the pressure, provides great support and I wake up feeling great!

Mattress not as comfy as I thought it would be. The foam is too firm for my need. I bought it for my pregnancy because it’s hard enough to find a comfortable position when you sleep and you get rib and back pain on a firm mattress. This mattress helps a little, but I still end up getting up feeling unrested with a stiff back and rib ache.
