I took a trip with family and wanted a few travel games as we enjoy playing games at the hotel. This was the best purchase I made as we played several games of rummy having lots of fun, quality family time. The tiles while being small were still readable, thick and durable. The tile holders were also of good quality. This was just as good as my larger heavy set that I couldn’t pack in my carry-on.

got this as a gift and I think it's really cute. I have a travel version that's even smaller and lighter because the tiles are cardboard, but I couldn't find that one anymore. This is a good substitute. The tiles are small and the case is great for throwing into a suitcase or purse even. Should provide a lot of fun for trips.

I brought this on a two week trip to Africa. Doesn’t take up much too room in your suitcase. The numbers are easy to read (which was a concern) and the holders are surprisingly functional. We played a few times at different lodges and a couple times during long airport layovers/delays. Got many inquiries & comments from fellow travelers who said they were ordering for their next trip. This is actually how I discovered the Mini edition. Three sisters were playing at the bar in our hotel in Normandy, France. They raved about it, so I ordered it and am happy I did. Recommend putting it in your carryon just in case you have “extra” airport time.

Just received this "Travel Rummy" game. First checked to see that all of the pieces were there, as some reviewers had noted missing tiles. All good for me. For you travelers, this is really a great set. It weighs just under 1 pound (15.7 oz). The set fits into a little zippered bag that measures 8 1/2" x 3 1/2" x 2". The face of the tiles measure 3/4" x 1", are 1/8" thick, and come in their own little plastic bag, which I will replace with a lonely single sock to use in play rather than spread out the tiles face down on our playing surface, so that there is less chance of losing tiles when playing in cramped quarters. The racks are 7" long so can hold 9 tiles on each of the two rows. There are 4 racks so you can play with 2, 3 or 4 players. The instructions are very basic, and don't include the information about manipulation of played tiles that make the game challenging and fun for adults, but you can get that information on WikiHow - How to Play Rummikub. All in all, I'm super happy with this little travel set. I travel carryon bag only, so every inch and every ounce has to be worthwhile. This little game has earned a spot in my bag.

This travel version is so much better quality than any of the regular sized games. Bottle cap in pic for comparison. Tiles are about as thick as two stacked quarters. I love miniatures and this is too cute. Not too small to actually play though. And I like the font design of the numbers much better than any of the classics. Comes with carrying case and trays, perfect for travel. The only critique I have is that the rules included are not the full rules - I have played for a while and it gives very "basic" rules and not so detailed (i.e. wildcard rules, making changes to the board) so might be worth looking up on YouTube before playing if you're new.

Light and compact, making it a good product for taking on air trips. Reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that it's just a bit of a fiddle due to the small plastic tiles and racks. However, this is the trade-off you get for the lightness.

We took this game on a cruise recently as we knew we had a few sea days. it was perfect and we noticed lots of other people playing it as well. the tiles are durable, the feel good and well made when handling and the bag is perfect for travel use. If i had one criticism and it isn't really that, it is more of a suggestion, a drawstring bag would be helpful for picking tiles we were able to use the travel bag, but it was easy to see what you were picking so potential to cheat. I have recommended this game to lots of people since getting it and will continue to do so, its fun, makes you think and is easy to pop in a travel bag for holidays, LOVE IT
