A big step up from the rc30 , the rc500 delivers big time .Looping is easy and the sound quality is much improved. I use it on my solo set and works great.The onboard drums sound pretty good but that’s what I found the most time consuming and to be quit honest difficult . On my live set I use a beat buddy drum pedal and use the midi contriols in the settings which makes life a little easier.As a looper it couldn’t be more straightforward but as I’m not a drummer the beat buddy is a better option for what I do in a live situation..

For my specific use, this pedal is basically perfect. However, it was a steep learning curve. A lot of the interface and navigation is very contrived and hard to figure out. So I needed to do a lot of research, experimentation and figuring things out.The process was fun. It's a fun piece of kit to use. And now I've programmed 50 tracks, when using for performance it works a dream.Requires a lot of work and head scratching to use effectively, but once it's set up it works a treat. I paired it with the Boss FS-5U so that I can have extra control. For example, I programmed it to stop/start the drum machine. When out and about busking, these are the only two pedals that I need

Great for learning riffts etc great with the drums ... only down side I would recommend a mains unit for it ... so heavy on battery s ... but good product

Got this for live streaming and playing live. Already got a Donner Circle Looper but this is more robust and has more options to choose from. The manual is hard to get through, but there are plenty of YouTube vids to point you in the right direction. I’m using it most days and It’s a case of practice makes perfect. Getting there…!

Absolutely love it!! the sound quality of the loops is so much better than any other loop I've played, defo worth the buy if your wanting an update.

An amazing bit of kit that I recommend to anyone playing the guitar at home. It is transforming my timing and also my understanding of time signatures. It's expensive, but I'm so happy I bought it. I've had cheap loopers in the past which always broke within a year or so, but they are not a patch on the versatility of this unit... and I haven't even scratched the surface of its potential.
