Not really worth it...
This book contains a few of the basic functions your BA II will perform, but it is FAR from the only book you will need to be ready for the CFA exam. In truth, the owner's manual is much more useful, as one would expect. I read through this and worked through the calculation examples in about half an hour. For the price, it's not bad, but you would be better off getting the Schweser notes to study from and going through the calculations they show you there. They do an excellent job of showing you what you need for the exam. This book is better than nothing (since the actual curriculum is not going to show you how to use the calculator), but you are much better off using the calculator manual and skipping this pamphlet.

Overpriced, lots of the material rehashes the calculator's manual
Yeah...I'm not such a happy camper. I consider the purchase of this book a donation to the 300 Hours blog, because honestly I can't justify it otherwise. $15 is a bit much for a 50 pages beginners guide to my calculator, where about 85% of the material in this book is either found in the calculator's manual or free on the 300 Hours blog. Also, Passed Tense (now Adaptprep) has a video online that does a great job of outlining a lot of the calculator functions, if you're as much of a beginner as this book seems to cater to. Up to page 17 (of a 50 page book!) are instructions on how to set up and learn the basics of your calculator...That said, I did learn some useful calculator functions that I missed when I was starting to study for the CFA (with no financial background whatsoever). For that reason alone, I give 3 stars.Honestly, this would have been better as a $5 emagazine.

Not all is in here. Will need to complement with online research.
I'm giving 4 stars only. Good job to include a clear explanation on how to do a quick data ( x,y ) analysis as an advanced feature. However I was a little dissapointed that no duration method is shown, even basic use of date functions is not present. I think the guide falls short when suggesting to go online or to opinion boards (not exactly the terminology they use) for further reference. This guide however provides a very comprehensive, basic functionality required. I think whoever dealt with the design of the charts, figures and general images deserves a recognition for putting a nice design along this booklet. I just think a couple of more functionalities should be added.

AVOID - Nothing more than the user manual
Don't make the mistake of buying this. I had high expectations for this book based on the quality of advice on the 300 hours site. This is nothing more than a repeat of everything you can find in the user manual for the BA II Plus. 300 hours is preying on people studying for the CFA, all of whom are desperate for a more efficient way to study for the exam. DO NOT BUY!

Useful study aid.
Great quick reference for CFA could have been more detailed.

Helpful, but contains errors.
First error on page 13. Second bullet point should be ENTER, not CPT.

There are some useful formulas but not enough to warrant the money
I expected a bit more for £10. There are some useful formulas but not enough to warrant the money.
