All in all a good buy, just don’t pour oil in too fast! It takes a few seconds to drain because of the small diameter drain at the bottom of the funnel. Other than that, good design & quality. So good, one of our old lubetechs walked off with it…

Between this funnel, and my Fumoto drain valve, I can do an oil change on my Subaru with only 1 paper towel... used to keep the oil filter from dripping when it's flipped over, and to clean the funnel when I'm done.At first, I didn't like that the funnel is 3 pieces, BUT, I realized that it hasn't leaked at all, AND it is easy to clean because it unscrews into 3 pieces.I really appreciate how instead of trying to get the funnel to stay put as I pour in the fresh oil, I simply screw it in, and KNOW FOR CERTAIN, that it will not fall out, causing oil to spill all over... it's a bit pricey, but if you change your own oil, it is so worth the reduced hassle.A cheap Walmart funnel may work just fine and last a long time, but this is a quality tool, and it saves some headache... and that, multiplied by the 60 plus oil changes that my Subaru will recieve while I own it, is worth it to me!

Great oil funnel for use on Subaru engines. It's durable and is made of heavy duty plastic. The reason for 4 stars is that all 3 sections screw together, which means if all the sections aren't tight, they will spin loose when removing the funnel. The sections should lock in place. Other than that, it's great.

I use this funnel on my 2018 Subaru Outback and 2013 Subaru Forester, and it works great! Combined with the filter on top of the engine, and a  Fumoto oil drain valve , I literally don't spill even a drop of oil when doing an oil change!My oil is changed in less time than it would take me to drive to a shop to have it done! And now that Amazon sells  AmazonBasics Fully Synthetic 0W-20 oil  for $19.99 for 5-quart container!, my fully synthetic oil changes cost about $27 - half (or less) than what a shop would charge.I slightly modified the yellow adapter to make oil changes even faster - I took a hole saw and drilled out the restriction on bottom which reduced the flow of the oil. With that done, a quart empties into the engine block as fast as you can pour it into the funnel.

I used this during my last oil change (2019 Subaru Crosstrek). When you take the oil cap off It threads right into the oil tube.At first i was concerned whether or not the funnel would stick up high enough, but when i went to pour a full 5 quart jug of oil into my car it went right in and i did not spill a single drop.

This item makes changing oil on my Subaru's so much easier. Assemble the funnel and then connect it to the oil fill tube. Then all you have to do is empty your quart size containers into the funnel without having to stand there holding each container till it's empty. I usually pour 2 quarts into the funnel and walk away. You can also use the 5 quart size containers. Just pour enough in to fill the funnel and walk away. Repeat the process till your engine oil is filled.
