This is a large, flat pad. I am using it as a "platform" for cooling, under the large cast that is on my foot, up to the top of my calf. Major foot surgery. It works perfectly, for the purpose intended. Reduces swelling, even thru the cast.I highly recommend Polar Ice products. They work as advertised.

The whole system is great, and this Active Ice full circumference knee therapy pad works just as advertised. My knee is much more comfortable now!

I’ve used this product for years. The knee, shoulder and most recently foot pad. Much better and more convenient than ice packs. Had a minor issue with one pad a Polar responded quickly and resolved my concern.Very impressive company.

Worked just fine with my Polar Ice machine that I purchased over 3 years ago. The pad is much more comfortable that the Nice machine pad.

I purchased this shoulder attachment for a previously purchased icing unit . Although the instructions show ease of putting it on, I want to say that if you are using this for shoulder surgery, you will need help putting it on, despite the instructions showing ease. It is a great ice therapy unit, but if you don’t have assistance in getting it put together and using it post-op, it will probablely prove difficult. I was able to help my husband, so it wasn’t an issue.

Bought this for our Active Ice cooler due to having rotator cuff surgery and it has helped a lot with rehab.

Covers a large area. Flow rate is way better than heads given out with the Ice Machine. Materials are thick, making it a long lasting attachment. Can't say enough good things about this product.

I bought this foot and ankle pad 10 months ago to help with heel spurs, and it had minimal use (maybe 6 or 7 uses), and was very effective. Now, after surgery, I go to use it again, and the foot area leaks and fills with water when the pump is on. There is only a six month warranty on this product--I guess the manufacturer knows it won't last past the six month mark. Very disappointed. I have used the large hip pad extensively, but I will not invest any more money into this expensive system. I suggest going with a cheaper alternative system, since you apparently won't get quality for the Polar Ice cost premium.
