This was the perfect solution for my studio to be able to have a photo backdrop in use and I didn’t have to figure out where else to store it! Hangs right from the ceiling pulls down when I need it rolls up when I don’t.

Works great. No sagging or slipping. I wish it had better mounting instructions.

I can't bring myself to remove a start just given the sheer value of this product but it is not perfect.No idea why this didn't come with dry wall hardware. Luckily I had some large butterfly anchors that did the trick. Everything else is pretty good considering the price. I would pay more money for a better chain but it's a small thing really unless you are constantly raising and lowering it.The tension mechanism is pretty basic. It was pretty tight for the first 48" roll I tried but when I moved up to a 60" roll it worked ok with a bit of fiddling.

I bought one before it was available with Prime shipping and it came directly from china. Soon after the first order I ordered another since it was now available on prime. Received the second before the first. Coming back to get a third.These are selling cheaper than similar models which is the main reason I looked at this but wound up buying it because it had 4 screw holes in the hooks compared to two for the other brand. It went up a couple of bucks in price but still cheaper than the other.Quality seems good. Was easy to install and works as expected. It comes with 4 weird anchors I couldn't used so had to get the appropriate hardware for my installation from the big box hardware store. Instructions were very easy to understand and everything went together well.

Like many of the reviews already written this product arrives with missing parts, the incorrect instructions and is made of plastic with exception to the brackets which are thin metal. It comes with hardware to ceiling mount. If you don't want to ceiling mount you will need to get some heavy duty wall anchors (probably 60lb). It unfortunately also looked as if it was a previously returned item that was poorly repackaged and resold. Update: Hung it today and it took about 2 hours - a real pain in the a**. Tip: allow about 1/2" of spacing on with side of the roll's tubing otherwise the cord will never work. Bonus tip: Do not over-tighten the tension screw or it won't spin. Good luck.

You get what you pay for, Item missing from my kit, the screws provided just didn't workfor me , make sure to mount it on top of wood supports that did the trick for me (learned the hard way)not sure if I would by it again since one of the parts is missing. but other than that, its ok.

Easy installation, using savage photo paper (pure white). My only complaint is that I think the price should be a little lower for what you get. I’d say $30 is a fair price for this item. I was nervous reading this product because it seemed as if you need a PVC pipe or metal pipe in addition to this kit, but I only used what came with the kit to put my paper up. Works fine.

This roller works on the ceiling as well as the wall. I have a 3-roller mount already on my wall and needed to hang one additional backdrop. Being that my wall is not high enough for a 4th backdrop, I looked for something that mounted to the ceiling.Revised, Dec 23, 2017: Having not used this very much I found that I needed to roll up my black 7' background for some Christmas pictures, I discovered that this roller is not very strong. The entire thing fell from the ceiling while rolling it up, coming dangerously close hitting to my granddaughter putting an end to pictures.I would not advise using it for anything over a 5', lightweight backdrop. The ceiling mounting brackets are bent as is the shaft that the backdrop (in my case 2" PVC pipe) is mounted to. Will be looking for a HD replacement.
