A great finish if done right
The one mistake I made was to lay it on a bit too thick. Wipe it on, then wipe if off. Build several very thin layers and your wood piece will look outstanding. I started with aniline dyed tung oil to darken the wood a touch. Finished with Old Masters.

Love the finish! Easy to use
I used this on my walnut countertop slab and it looks beautiful and with a satin finish. Really brings out the depth of the wood. My only complaint and the water beaded up on it for the first week, then not as much. Going to add a cpl more coats and it that still doesn't work I will try the waterlox satin finish. I applied 4 coats heavily with gloved hands and a microfiber rag, allowing the first two to just soak in. I let them dry 6 hrs each. I then applied 3rd coat same way but rubbed off after 30 min. The 4th coat, I wet sanded in with 600 grit wet sand paper, and rubbed off after 30 min.Very stinky for about 1 week and allow rags to dry flat before disposing as they are flammable.

works!
this product did exactly what i want on the walnut.it’s not just oil but varnish. with oil i’ll sand it in a couple of times to use the dust to fill the minute holes. with the varnish i only do this once and then sand between coat working from 200-600

Works as expected for a nice, more natural finish
Very pleased with this product. I used to finish an antique walnut blanket chest that looked like it had been painted with a mop. As is the case in most jobs of this sort, the prep work is the most important step in the process. Once the wood was prepared, I applied multiple coats, using 3m ultra fine synthetic pads between coats to lightly scuff the finish and in the end applied a coat of paste wax for a mostly matte finish. Turned out better than I hoped and I will definitely buy this product again.

Great quality finish.
I love this stuff. It's making my quality hardwood projects looks spectacular. Probably should use between 5-8 coats if you are using it exclusively as a finish, but worth the extra coats for the ease of use. And it actually does contain tung oil (in addition to varnish) so it's an honest product. I've included a picture of some Peruvian Walnut after applying about 4 coats of the varnish.

great, product - easy to use - dries hard
I used this product as the finish for a dining table - provides a very nice low sheen. It does require at least 5 coats to achieve a decent coverage (i applied 9 coats just because). I switched to this product after struggling with 100% Pure Tung Oil - and this was way easier to use. I am hopeful its hearty enough to withstand the abuse of a dining table (time will tell).

If you like the hand rubbed look this product delivers
I made a mesquite bench with a hand rubbed finish. The Old Masters product gave me the look of hand rubbed furniture that I wanted to achieve

I like this stuff for my hobby woodworking projects
I like this stuff for my hobby woodworking projects. I get good results at 3-5 coats. Not too hard to apply and no issues with a bunch of dust getting stuck in it.
